The Best Little Mother Hen
This was a tough weekend. Hay making is always hard work. Almost a lesson in perseverance. Pushing through. And it takes a while summer to get in shape when you are a lady of a certain age. We have to make hay. Feeding the animals from our own land is critical to the bottom line

Baby Birds in the Mail!
All the tiny birds arrived. And all the tiny birds are gorgeous. After two full days of travel they arrived us great condition. The ducks are, of course, perfect! There are five. Very shy. Two downy yellow and three brown and black. I have no idea what their feathers will be like which is kind

Frogs peeping – all night long!
It was a wet and cool rainy night last night. I love the rain on my tin roof. Perfect weather to sleep the night away with all the doors and windows open. The Spring Peepers were singing all night long. I collected a vid sound recording of them for our TKG Take Ten. Join HERE

New Babies!!
The calves are here. And they are beauties. They will stay in the big calf pen for this week until they know me and have bonded with the two big cows. Then I will let them out into the field with the big cows. Already the big cows are standing by. See them through the
