Sheila loves her bath. I do apologise for the angle but she made me laugh out loud! Raising a pig is loaded with fun.
Charlotte loves water too.
They wriggle and mud-about then stand and shake like dogs, their ears clapping against their heads, causing the real dogs and I to run for our lives from the spray of mud, shouting: No shaking! No shaking! You promised!
Breeding pigs is tons of fun too. Charlotte just lay in her mud puddle looking fat, fecund and drunk from the hose.
The dogs ran off to watch Karate Kid Chicken. You can see why the Blue Heeler Puppy is called Blue the Mouth. He is getting so heavy John said we should call him Blue the Brick.
Yes, the Leghorn Peghorns are allowed out to play for a few hours each afternoon. Having Howdy Time! Like at the zoo.
The Drywall Man tilts on stilts in the Coupe, working yesterday at a thunderous pace. Today is a drying day for the plaster then he will return tomorrow. He went home last night with fresh eggs and the freshest asparagus for his family.
Good morning. Yesterday the dogs and I planted the Old Codgers tomatoes and pruned and trained his grapes. He planted the grapes twenty years ago he said and they were in a tangle. We dragged a chair around the garden for him to sit on as we worked and between us we started getting his yard in order for the summer.
I am off to pick up Author this morning and talk to the vet. I will let you know how she is. She had a wee op, no more kittens, but is doing well. LouLou tagged along so the cats are now all up to date.
You all have a lovely day. We have sunshine!
your friend, celi.

Um, I think we need to talk to you about the meaning of “bath.” I’m worried what your showers look like now.
Oh dear, best not to delve too deep!! (laugh!!!).. c
P.S. Blue is a beautiful dog.
beautiful and naughty!.. c
Blue is growing fast! Pigs are quite comical to watch, especially when they are rolling around in the mud – great shot of Sheila!
Oh sugar, would not like to be too close to Sheila and Charlotte when they decide their bath has ended! Next I’d need a soap/water one and clean clothes 🙂 ! Can’t wait to see the next stages of the coupe: looks exciting! Haven’t heard of the homeschool kids awhile – wondering whether they are still there . . .
The homeschool kids are starting a new term of work, so they are working with their mum for a while.. once it all settles down i hope they can visit again.. the farm misses its kids.. c
Blue the Brick–LOL He does look heavier. Those piggies do love their mud! What fun to see everyone in action.
Looks like you have a few cockerels in your chick collection! I am jealous of the pigs, I rather like mud 🙂
Just repeating what many people have said – that is going to be one very big dog:)
Blue looks utterly cuddly with all that lovely firm puppy fat… I like the idea of him sitting on John’s lap for a man to man chat
OK, I know I’m behind on my reading, but that puppy has doubled in size since last week. What’s wrong with that angle? That’s a great photo.
The boy is a brick! he is growing like the proverbial weed.. c
And I love seeing TonTon on the watch!
