I love the train too. If you’re ever in Southern California, take the pacific surfliner between LA and San Diego. The views are amazing. Such a treat! Enjoy your mental health day!
My mom occasionally threatened to run away, on days when her kids and responsibilities overwhelmed. She never did. Glad you are getting away for a day. Much deserved. Much needed, I think.
Hope it was a wonderful day! I’m sure all your charges will be good. Ton and Boo and Old Dog will watch them for you. Chicago must be a fascinating place to visit. But, it’s big. So, I hope you’ve left yourself a trail of bread crumbs back to the train station.
So glad you are off having a wonderful time and ‘kicking up your heels’ and having fun!!!! Love the note you left for us!!! Can’t wait to hear all about your “spur of the moment day away!!!” xoxoxo
I enjoy reading blog. I’ve never left a comment before, but this post just made me smile. You are witty. The way you says things makes me think of my 13 year old daughter (which is not a bad thing!); she longs to be a fiction writer.

You go girl! Well, actually by the time I read this on Pacific time: You gone girl! Lol! 🙂 Have a brilliant day.
I’m glad you’re having some time off, and a mental health day sounds just what I need – I am fraught, stressed, and throwing out treasures.
