Small Town America: Not Just Route 66

This is where I found my pears.

Small Town America is everywhere.

Not just on Route 66, though that is just down the road.

Such a beautiful little town.

It may look a little tattered and tired,

All the small towns around here look like this..

But first appearances can be deceptive, character comes in all guises,

and this little town is alive and well. And it has a great pear tree.

I am travelling to the big city today. I am taking a day off. You will never believe where I am going. Stand by for pictures.

Have a lovely day.

  1. Second picture down in the light blue…that is my grandfather’s building. Chatsworth sure isn’t what it used to be, but it is still my hometown!

  2. Oh I miss the small town wandering – always something to look at or do. Never enough time. These look so much like a couple of wide spots in the road in East Texas. Wonderful decorative little buildings like a child’s dreamy jewel boxes
