This is where I found my pears.
Small Town America is everywhere.
Not just on Route 66, though that is just down the road.
Such a beautiful little town.
It may look a little tattered and tired,
All the small towns around here look like this..
But first appearances can be deceptive, character comes in all guises,
and this little town is alive and well. And it has a great pear tree.
I am travelling to the big city today. I am taking a day off. You will never believe where I am going. Stand by for pictures.
Have a lovely day.

Second picture down in the light blue…that is my grandfather’s building. Chatsworth sure isn’t what it used to be, but it is still my hometown!
That is such a cool little building, how about we open a pizza joint in there!.. c
When I was a wee little lad, he had an Ice Cream Shop for a while. I believe it is an apartment now. The back still has the ware house. It is where he kept the supplies for the numerous rentals he had.
So your family does not won it anymore?
Thank you for the rusty, rustic beauty! Old metal rules!
Oh I miss the small town wandering – always something to look at or do. Never enough time. These look so much like a couple of wide spots in the road in East Texas. Wonderful decorative little buildings like a child’s dreamy jewel boxes
