But without the Little Kitten I am afraid. I wish I could give you better news.
He died while sleeping in the sun yesterday morning. In all the time he was here he never really woke up. His eyes seldom opened. He weighed little more than feather. He just got lighter and lighter then softly drifted away.
But the other two are alive and noisy and still gaining weight and beginning to move about confidently. Can you see Middle Puss under NannyBoos chin in the photo above? These two really are fighters. Maybe even mousers eventually.
And BooNanny is ever watchful.
While I was working in the barn Sheila came in to tell me that now the field chickens were out of Pats Paddock she could resume her walks.
So she has.
Life goes on. Daisy is still wondering whether Mama has better grass that she does.

We have piles of forage for the animals this autumn. The grass is still growing.
Have a lovely day.
Love your friend, celi

Celi, my sister’s old rescue dog went over the Rainbow Bridge today too. She gave him a wonderful last year of his life, away from abuse, starvation, and all that goes with being an abused pet. I am so sorry for the kitty and the loss, but the wee one is in a better place now. xo Hugs to you.
I’m so sorry to hear that! That’s awful. Still, you have a lot of wonderful animals 😀
Well to die in the sun is something…
I love your blog! This post first made me want to cry for LittleKitten and then laugh at all the other critters and your interpretations of their conversations and feelings. 🙂
Oh s, so sad. How did Boo take it? 😦
Very sad to hear about the kitten.
I’m so sad to hear of little kitten but you did your best for him. Boo looks like he’s still on duty though & those kittens may not be mousers – with Boo as a roll model, maybe they’re being herding cats.
They way you described the death of the little kitten was so precious and sensitive. I love these photographs. They calm my heart.
