Yes, the Daily View has changed. No more tree house and a lot less foliage.
But still minor compared to a lot of damage around the area. Here is the Daily View from exactly a year ago. If you want to check out that post you will see that Kupa’s tail feathers were much more advanced this time last year. I am not sure why.
There is still a lot to clear up after the wind. But it can wait.
Quiet day for everyone today. The Matriarch came and took all my laundry away and I had help with the housework. So I got some seriously restful healing done.
Now, I have not forgotton that you asked for the bacon and egg pie recipe so I will do that tomorrow.
Take good care, be careful on the steps in high winds.
your friend by the fire,

p.s. If you want to go back exactly two years, here is that post.

What wildness has swept through the farm. Whenever you use the word ‘rest’ I smile and nod approvingly. I’m so glad you are listening to your body and not attempting to override it. Quirky camera angles can wait. Clearing up can wait. But your healing cannot wait. It needs to happen now. Storms are natures way of clearing. Space is opening up for something new. Sending you loving, nurturing thoughts.
All good Kiwis have a great egg and bacon pie recipe! Sorry about all the damage. I’m pleased to hear you’ve had some rest and time to recover from you injuries xx
I hope you are starting to feel better and at least the damage to the immediate area was fairly limited. I’m assuming that the Matriarch is an ex-teacher from the local high school who was a particular favorite of my younger brother (who is now a journalist in London). Whoever, she is, I’m glad she’s there to help you.
she definitely is that high school teacher! everyone’s favourite…mornng pepper.. c

Dear Cinders,
Can you send me a teeny e-mail we are still in Kauai away from good internet and I can’t access my address book.
I want to send you a photo of our matching chairs!
I fell over laughing yesterday when you said you were upping your calcium intake with White Russians at bedtime and what a good girl to do so! :))
Heal that bottom!!
Wow, what a wild wind….bringing everything back to its essence…
Looks like Nature is into minimalist sculpture this year. She does like to redecorate every so often.
There something really nice about the fire hydrant picture. (Where is that? Does it actually work. Fire is always such a worry in the country.)
Stay warm – and stay resting when you can
So glad to read your have some helpers!
