Most piggies can open a door and go out. That is not a problem.
Yes, many pigs can open doors to get out. Maybe that is not too clever.Though Sheila’s smile of satisfaction is pretty sweet.
However Sheila has also worked out how to go back to the door, push the bolt about, get her nose into the crack of the door, muscle it back open and then make her way back IN. Very clever I think.
I thought you were out in the yard Sheila?
Oh, woops, I did not see you there, miss c, she says. Well.. um.. I was outside in the yard -in the weak wintry sun like you said and then I changed your mind and came back in. It is cold out there miss c.
I love Sheila – my big fat pig.
It is a small trick but a good one.
Not like Daisy the deeply Un-benevolent milk cow who opens any gate that is held with a hook latch – so they have to be tied up with baling twine or I come out and find her in the barn corridor wreaking her own particular brand of mayhem.
I hope you are having a lovely day, a lovely Christmas day.

Delivering cookies to people we know who are alone today. I baked so many I could have fed cookies to a kazillion people! Puppy fever? Or devine intervention? All I know is that I get to share with others who are sooo very deserving of some love and good cheering up!
Sheila you are a very smart piggy!!! And Daisy? You are a houdini for sure! Love the foot prints!!!! Marmalade and Boo are you sleeping by the fire today? If I lived closer I would bring all your pups some of my homemade dog bones that I made this year!!! And some catnip pouches for the kitties! All the kids’ pups got them! I made 163 doggie bones!!!!!! And my son’s kitties got catnip too! If you all want the recipe let me know and I will share!

I am sure she will figure out what to do with those strings, they are smart creatures.
Love the kitten paws! I see kitten paws sometimes, but they are not in snow or frost, but in flour … on my counter top. Bad kitten!
