Averting a Collision Course at Light Speed

There is a momentum that builds when an event is ahead.

The launch of the new kitchens garden page and my impending travel to NZ being the main events. I had a feeling this morning that there was going to be a collision (manifesting as an explosion in my brain) if I was not very careful.

Getting the farm ready to leave and no internet at the farm. John still away and a health scare in his family (not mine) has meant a lot of rushing about and a good dollop of anxiety.

But even with all this swirling about shooting sparks at me every now and then, the serenity of the fields brings me back down to earth. My evening walk with the dogs saves lives. Mine. (probably theirs too).

So: I am launching the blog pages of The Kitchens Garden out into the ether shortly. (you will be kept firmly in the loop). I am so looking forward to this. The Sustainable Home however will come along for the ride (they are both on the same space ship) but I will be launching The Sustainable Home (with the newsletter and workshops and gathering spots) in a month. We are setting up the booking pages today.

I think if we launch these both at once my head might blow off. (Imagine the mess).

You can sign up for TSH newsletter anytime, once you get in the new site, but I will get out the balloons and whistles and door prizes August 1st. The Fellowship will be sent coupon codes for massive discounts – just for you. (working on that today too)

That way the monster that is called OVERWHELMED will not catch up with me. And you and I can spend a few recovery weeks at the beach (with pictures from the new blog site) before getting down to the work of saving the planet. (snort)

Still no rain and the air is hazy with dust.

OK – Time for me to go out and feed the animals and drag those hoses around so they all have water for the day.

I hope you have a great day.

Celi

Soft Launch with first blog post.

Email coming to all of you who have signed up for the soft launch and a few more besides. So exciting! Thank YOU so much!!

Email me at celima.g.7@gmail.com if you want to jump on that list!

I will still be posting from here (.com) for a few more days so, like I say, I am keeping you are all still firmly in the loop. No worries. WordPress does not allow me to take you with me automatically so you will need to subscribe to The Kitchens Garden again. I will let you know when that time comes so don’t worry.

The good news is we will be able to shake off all these bots and fake accounts! Become leaner and friendlier! (not meaner). And faster!

  1. As they say (I always wonder who exactly “they” is) just lean into each change and bump and know that everything will work as and when it is supposed to. I think I can speak for the collective- we have no plans to ditch you no matter how long it takes or how many side trails come up that need exploring before the full-on debut.

  2. Those enormous skies never cease to amaze me. No wonder you feel your head might explode SO much going on at once.

I for one hope that you get off on your travels soon and fast so that at least you’ll have a little less to juggle with. Hope you have a wonderful time catching up with your family.

    • It will all come together. It always does. We are almost to the starting gate. The plan was to have all the website stuff done by end of May but you know what they say about the plans of mice and men!

  3. i had no problem with one sentence in your post. it was the only one i could read clearly. to bad the rest of the post wasnt as dark. these eyes will never be as good as they used to be even with glasses.

  4. I know exactly what you mean when you say ‘There is a momentum that builds when an event is ahead.’ Having just moved house with so much planning needed and attention to detail there were times when I felt my brain was getting unbearably scrambled. You have the good sense to calibrate the plan to keep it manageable.
And how fantastic to have those wide skies and an abundance of horizons to keep you sane!
Wishing you well as you head to Aotearoa once more. And for the delicious moment when you are in the skies and nothing more can be done. Whew!

  5. I absolutely love those pics in the fields, especially the one with the clover and the sunset. I’m sending tho and email as I’ve love to be part of your new blog!

  6. Just yesterday I averted an ‘overwhelm’ when asked to do something. It was a step too far and I had to keep my head intact! Best wishes! xx

  7. All will be well. You’re a child of the sea, so DANCE up on the approaching wave and surf into shore. We’ll be here in the shallows to catch you and retrieve your surfboard! I know it sounds all too easy from the front end and we can’t see the little webbed feet paddling like crazy, but you seriously have got this. We’re all along for the fun. Hugs, if you want them.
