Not Ready for Another Test, yet.

We did a test this morning and still have things configured incorrectly.

Good morning from a sunny calm day at the beach. The beach is calling!

Yesterday I sent you shots after sunrise. All these shots today are from late yesterday afternoon as the sun began to swoop down!

Thekitchensgarden.org – the blog – went for another test run. This has been such a piece of work! I was really, really hoping that we had it right this time. I have to trust the people that know more than me. But this turned into a much bigger project than I had anticipated. I am not sure I would have attempted it if I had known how much time this would take. Typical of me really! But it is going to be a game changer. The anxiety will be worth it. Fingers crossed now.

You will need to subscribe again to The Kitchens Garden blog over at the new site, soon. (I will let you know) – NOT YET.

Today we gave the TKG subscribe form a thorough test.

But it did not work as it should.

TKG stands for The Kitchens Garden (blog)

TSH stands for The Sustainable Home (newsletter).

I sent out a new beach post from TKG. I have been practicing over there so it will not take me long. But it was not received by any of you test subscribers. It is there though if you want to see the perfect shot for TKG! A man on a bike on the beach in the sunset.

There was a power outage out here at the beach last night – which was a bit of a surprise – all my communication is via WiFi ( me being out of the country and all) so it was an unsettling feeling to be totally in the dark, with nothing but my phone light, and having no idea what was going on and no way to find out.

It was around 9pm and there was a lot of driving around on the dark roads.

I just went to bed.

The Bear from Cocaine Bear (Alan Henry) and his dog (Moose) are coming out for a late lunch. Alan was one of my first drama students back in the day and has done very well. He works hard and it pays off. I must go and look in the fridge to see what I have to eat. I am out at the beach with no car and have run out of almost everything, so I will have to do some magic!

Or we can just walk down the road and get an ice-cream in a cone!

Take care.

See you on the other side!

Celi

PS – this post was amended after the failed test run to let you know now to subscribe yet. Soon though!

  1. OK, hopped over there. I subscribed to TKG newsletter, but not TSH. I got the Newsletter welcome message link. I also got the Welcome email. In addition to that, I went down to the bottom of the page where there is a Subscribe box with no Sheila icon, and assuming that was for the blog, I subscribed there too. Got the same Newsletter Welcome message as before. I did get an email for this blog post (original TKG?).

  2. I just signed up! I got an email notification/welcome email so that part worked! One thing though, just housekeeping, it said “Dear (someone)”. Maybe was supposed to insert the name but I only signed up with email address so maybe no name field for it to pull from.

      • I just got two password reset emails for the new site. One had symbols as the username the other had my name asking me to reset the password in the account. I have done nothing with it as I think it might me an error.

        • I have entered you manually. And I don’t think these forms have been set up correctly. I am so sorry.

Just ignore the emails – you don’t need a password – hopefully you get a blog notification tomorrow though.

Thank you so much for your patience. I really do appreciate it.

          • No problem at all. I was worried that it was a glitch and being sent to people and someone might do something and lock you out. I’ll ignore them and hope to get a blog notice tomorrow. Good luck🍀☘️🍀☘️

  3. I just tried it, following your instructions, but got the Welcome to the TSH newsletter instead of TKG. And mine also said, ‘Dear (someone)’ which kind of hurt my feelings since I’ve been a faithful follower since 2011!

        • Don’t do that!
It’s a big website and no longer a blog. There’s a lot more going on than before and you are starting from scratch. It’s looking good and it’s nearly there.
That thing relative to it being an unsecure website is the SSL certificate. You need to pay (subscribe) on an annual basis, usually through your website host. It’s a bit of a rip off, since all the pirate websites pay for it too, but if you sell things or ask for donations it’s a must have. On your free WP blog they provide SSL for you.

  4. I signed up twice ~ both said I was confirmed! So don’t know if that’s correct or not!!! But I see these beach pictures!!

  5. I did get this post, is it the one that did not seem to go?

  6. Sorry, the post is the original site. I was so excited that maybe it went thru to at least one of us.
