It was not me. This is not my MO, said Tima.
Miss C, if that had been me, I would have dragged the whole bag out. I would never have made one little hole and a big mess like that!
I think it was a mouse, she said. You know the mouse I mean, she nodded sagely.

She does have a point, said Mr Flowers to himself.
She is an all or nothing kind of pig.
I saw nobody, said Quacker, as she calmly sailed away.

Nobody was here? Said Miss C. I thought she had already migrated for the winter.
The nights are coming earlier now.

The walk was shortened. There was rain. Our moon obscured by heavy clouds. Still warm though. But so dark I almost fell over Ton waiting for us on the drive.
The cats watched expressionless from their positions on the porch railing close to their food bowls.
Go to bed Miss C, said Boo. If you just open the pet food fridge door on your way past, I will take charge of our dinner.
In your dreams BooBoo.
Love Celi

That looks like a guilty face to me, and she brought backups!
I think she had her story prepared!!
Oh yeah, she did.
You have the most pragmatic and honest animals Celi. It must be impossible to do without their wisdom 😉
They are very clever at covering for each other!
LOL! I love that they are a team for each other 😉
Hope you are feeling slightly more settled with life in general at this point…
Course it wasn’t Tima! Good try Boo! Lovely evening tale. Nights beginning to get chilly in UK and pesky clocks change this weekend, dark evenings on the way!
I believe (and may be misguided by wishful thinking) that daylight saving is ended here. I will ask Aunty Google.
No, sadly it’s not ended yet… 😦 I thought that as well last year when it was all the talk and just…about…made…it into becoming the law. But not quite… So get ready to turn the clocks back once again on November 5th. 😦 😦 😦
Bummer.
Exactly!!!
I so enjoyed this little barnyard animal story. Your animals are so smart!
Quite the team!
Dear Boo Boo!
…and did Tima’s nose support her story?
No. Her nose is usual a dead give away!
I knew it!
It’s the duck that’s quacked me up.
The last word.
She’s a pro!
She has had practice!
Couldn’t help but smile at these conversations. Hope the farmy slept well. Patti
