Do not take photographs while Driving

Do not take photos with your phone while you are driving. It is very dangerous – though I just can’t help myself! The sun hit this school bus at exactly the perfect moment. A bright shaft of sun streaming in from screen right as the yellow bus drives into black cloud.

Do not try this at home. Or in your car.

They have been some changes in WordPress. It appears that our images are now automatically optimized which is pretty neat. Make sure to turn that feature on.

One hog and two cows in old barn from above

Can you see the two cows on one side of the gate and FreeBee on the other. FreeBee often sleeps by this gate. Sharing the bovine warmth I think.

I am late because I filmed 10 minutes of a very cold beautiful sunrise for us then the internet went out and now it won’t load.

I hate technology a lot, often. Though our ten minute vids are just SO MUCH FUN.

And we have enough subscribers to the Letter from The Kitchens Garden Farm now that TKG TAKE TEN is free for all. TKG stands for The Kitchens Garden – of course!

So. Thank you to those of you who are able to upgrade so I can continue with this really lovely initiative and share it with The Fellowship of The Farmy.

I closed up both barn doors yesterday evening because it was forecast to get really cold and it was quite windy yesterday evening. You know how FreeBee doesn’t like the cold. And the forecast was true. It is really cold this morning.

This cold.

But, by Christmas Day, we will be back up into the 50s, (F), which is kind of crazy. We were warned but still Christmas in T Shirts in Illinois in the winter is a little bit too much like Christmas in New Zealand in the summer. You never know what the weather will do in the holidays in New Zealand either!🤭

And I know you are all roasting in Aussie.

Find loveliness.

  1. Is FreeBee yawning or yelling “bring me a blanket Miss C”?

It is wonderful to know that readership is growing as well. I think the entire farmy would say thank you to that 🙂

  2. Ha ha – very dangerous, but a great photo!
It’s 7ºC here at the moment (19.43). It should be 11ºC on Christmas Day and sunny.
I just cooked a huge Christmas lunch for 45 people – 4 turkeys in 4 ovens!

  3. Well, you just made me feel heaps better with that title…
I saw a tractor trailer laying on it’s side in on the off ramp going into downtown Huntsville, AL. I couldn’t help myself. So I fired up the Ol’ cell phone and snapped a few as I slowly drove by. (BTW, everyone was going slow) NAILED!!! One of the troupers ran out and was waving, yelling, and motioning for me to pull over.. NOW! Sigh. I was so embarrassed, and in the end he was nice to me when I asked him if I’d get a ticket. He said “No” but warned me once again before he let me go to “Never do that again!”

We do silly things when are young, get smart for awhile, and then get scary again in our age.
