Farming in a Slushie

They predicted snow and we got rain.

Rain on winter window

Oh joy!’ All that fuss about 4 inches of snow. Nope. It is too warm. We have four inches of slush. I am working in a great big fat flat slushy.

Slushy snow

The temperatures are staying stubbornly warm and we got inches of rain mixed with wet snow. Yes. Wet snow is a thing. Snow is a stupid word there are so many different kinds of snow. It is like Love. No way does that word describe all the different zones of love.

Your support is so appreciated at this uneasy time.

Pop into the TKG Take Ten. I added words for this video while at the hospital waiting. Then got interrupted hence the very short script. It was shot on a snowy morning and is so funny.

At least the hospital is good for the internet!

I hope to literally upload today’s video from there. We’ll see. You know I am a pragmatic person.

Today we are better off inside.

The birds agree.

More hospital today. I feel a story brewing for Celi’s Sustainable Sunday too. Hospitals and waiting rooms are incredibly good for writing because there is so much waiting time. And sometimes a person wants to think about something other than the present.

Have a lovely day. I may as well gather up my people and get going.

There is no internet out here in the country anyway!

Celi.

See you this evening at Letters! The evening edition of The Kitchens Garden Farm. 😀

  1. You seem to be having to spend so much waiting around in hospitals at the moment, so horrible, l am so sorry. How the hell you get all the work on the farmy done l can’t imagine, especially with the present conditions. At least the internet availability is a perk! Andyr

  2. Perfect weather for that duck and I don’t suppose Tima minds either, with her fur coat.
It’s freezing here and very windy, but not quite minus.
I think they charge for internet in UK hospitals!

  3. Well that is one awesome mess, although I can’t decide if this might be preferable to the muck of straight on mud. I’m sure the animals are all grumbling to each other in the barn, hoping Miss C comes home with a solution and maybe sunny weather in her pocket 🙂
