Sometimes I think we worry too much. That our lives are too small and won’t amount to much. When they already have mounted up. And the weight of my life in gold would be too heavy to carry anyway. If we worry too much we will forget how glorious our little lives are.
Ithink it is ok to have a lovely little life, with small movements and everyday things.
Just because our lives are little does not make them any less brilliant or colourful or dramatic or worthy.
Nobody knows me but you. I have no books in print or on coffee tables. Or art hanging in galleries, and names in lights. Though once I almost did.
I have weeds in my dried up garden. And clothes still hanging on the line from yesterday. You might have dishes in the sink from last night and problems with leaks, but that does not make you or I any less clever. Or good. Or golden.
Sometimes we are just a little cow, with no particular place to go.
Sometimes we confuse toothpicks with cigars.
And only have one or maybe two friends, who we forget to appreciate.
Sometimes a wee pat on the shoulder is all we will feel that day. Just a little pat.
And then the night time comes and still nothing much has happened, but we are all fed, and we are all warm and we have seen moments of true beauty in our little day, if our eyes are open. And there is more to come.
I am so glad you are in my glorious little life with me. Because little is loaded with consequence and reward. Every chook step leads us to another one. Then another step and another. This is why you and I like to walk barefoot. Then we can feel the consequences of our steps. We can discover the sparkling jewels in our days. Wake up! No sleeping on your little feet. Our little lives need living. Our little lives are good.
Good morning. Have a lovely little day!

This Little Life and the little things that make up my everyday on this little farm are exactly what I want. And you’re right. Our Little Lives are GOOD!
An especially lovely and uplifting post today. I shared it with my sister who is visiting and you now have a new fan!
Tell your sister hullo and welcome maggie, it must be nice to have her visiting.. c
Beautiful words and sentiments. But you have achieved so much, you have lived a big and full life full of so many amazing and awe inspiring achievements that little ole small folk can only wonder and be humbled by their own limits. 🙂
watch out for those humble limits, they have a habit of expanding!! c
Hm, perhaps. As I’ve just posted about finishing my first (small and humble) shawl! Thank you for the encouragement. 🙂
Celi, thanks for sharing your life with us.
Beautiful!
Aaah now I feel better about my little life today. Thanks Celi 🙂 Laura
You are so right. In this world of ‘celebrities’ people forget that it’s the little lives which help to make the world go around. And yes, each one of us should appreciate our little life and the world that surrounds us.

Maybe your best post ever. Beautiful! Thanks for reminding me of what is most important in life. It is a good morning!
Thank you Anna and lovely to see you.. c
I’m going out to live my little life right now though it is just clearing out the dog kennel and feeding the rabbits and pulling weeds. It is also watching the hummingbird as he visits my zinnias and watching the watermelons grow and discovering what God has blessed me with this day. Thanks Celi for your inspiring message.
Love the idea of watching a hummingbird, they always remind me of Tinkerbell.. though with a better attitude.. c
Aah, C. I have days, where I’ve thought too much about the what-if’s ~ I love my farm and all that it offers ~ I am right where I need to be. I thank you for the inspiring reminder.

Those morning shots are simply gorgeous. What a good morning! We live a bon, bon vie.
what a great way to show us that we are important and loved each and every day, and our worth is worth more than the richest man on earth
Beautiful post, Celi! Thanks for the reminder. You are an artist–whether you’re taking photographs or cooking or milking!
I should add . . . an artist with words!
