He likes to Kiss them.

When we were walking we stopped to listen to the rustle of the dried winter grasses and investigated tracks in the snow, and peeped into empty nests and ran up and down the pathways through the wild grass.

On the way back even Minty crept up for a cuddle.

Bless our sheep for welcoming the children to the Farmy. Good sheep. kids-and-cows-032

Isn’t it wonderful how our horizons can change. And our lives expand just with a nod and a smile.  Saying Yes.

Good morning. I am glad we went for our Nature Walk yesterday because this morning we have freezing drizzle. So it will be inside playtime this today and we all know who will come out of her box for that!

You all have a lovely day.

PS. I was making wooly mattresses for the dogs this time last year.  Though this year Mama’s fleece was saved and spun. Hopefully very soon I shall take it all over to a loom and begin to make a blanket.  I really must find the time to do that.

  1. I love to see the children with the opportunity to love on the animals…and receive in return. My 5-year old granddaughter went to a “local” farm with her Kindergarten this week and the photos my daughter shared of Sophia holding a chick melted my heart. Love was exchanged! I really enjoyed seeing these children experience the farmy, Celi. Debra

  2. Sweet photographs of the children and the animals. How fortunate these children are to be able to experience farm life first hand. How fortunate there is a Miss Celi in their life. V

  3. Hairy is such a lad! You have given these kids (and I dare say many others) something wonderful, memorable which they will keep with them forever… I know this because my farm days loom large despite being many years ago 🙂

  4. Aaaand…. now my children want a sheep. In particular, a sheep that gives kisses. They’ve been waiting (mostly) patiently for a year, and will have to wait at least one more, before we can go and find the rescue dog who is no doubt also waiting (mostly) patiently to meet us…. We are learning how to be grateful for the smiles in the meantime. Slowly. 🙂

  5. Your blog this morning has made me feel goosebumpy all over: what a gloriously happy photo of the three kids in the field. And Hairy’s gentle kiss obviously was not repulsed 🙂 ! Lucky, lucky children . . .

  6. These photos of the children and the Farmy lovelies are exquisite! I love the first and the fourth…oh and the one of Hairy giving lil girl a smooch is too precious!! 🙂
