You see it was hot. Lovely-delicious-hot not dreadful-out-of-control hot. 96F (35C).
I gave the pigs a fan. Thank you Missie!
Sheila thought it was just lovely but would not share so Charlotte went to stand in her water container.
Smug pig. I swear if that pig stood up on her hind legs she would be taller than me. Their outdoor pig palace has been modified. Today I will finish installing their new gate so they will be able to wander at will from the barn to their summer palace and back during the middle of the day when it is hottest. It will be interesting to see where they spend most of their time, outside in the mud puddle or inside in the straw.
Blue spent some time with the hose yesterday. Trying to ‘Tame’ it.
And I weeded, I have weed-fed chickens, every basket full is lugged out to the chook house. This is why the yolks are so orange.
Then quite by mistake, it being Sunday and all, I lay down in the hammock, just for a few minutes you understand, and accidently took a photo of my foot.
And that was the last thing I saw for a little while.
Good morning.
I hope you all have a lovely day!
love your friend, celi

After a warm day of work – those pics tell the story – it’s great to have a little rest, especially on a Sunday afternoon, in a hammock. That’s what it’s all about, Ecclesiastes got it right 🙂
I hope you enjoyed a super power nap on sunday. You so deserve a day of rest. Hey I seen this awesome idea on pinterest and I thought of you and the farm animals right away. You take a big bucket and put in some treats such as carrots, dog bones, and dog toys and fill it up with water and freeze. Then when you take out of the freezer, just put the bucket in a little warm water at the bottom to loosen the big ice lolly treats for the dogs or whom ever needs a little cooling down on the farm. It keeps your puppies occupied for hours. Have a super week. BAM
I love the piggie fan! And good for you taking a nap in the hammock.
AH nice warm post Life is Good
Glad you mamaged to get your foot (feet?) up for a minute or two!
Oh my, I’ve not been round here since it was about 30°F! And a new little four legged family member too! Will have to set aside a little catch up:) Happy spring almost summer!
I love the photo of your foot! As you know, I totally approve of you taking a good rest amidst all that hard work.
Weed fed chickens and golden yolks – ooh, that is the good life indeed.
