I promise this is the last of the “Oh, oh, that is so sweet!” posts. For now.

The moment Boo hears his kittens begin to cry for a feed, he busts into the house through the screen doors.  And I do mean Bust In with a Crash.  Then he rushes for their door and tries to jam his nose under the door until I get there with the bottle.

If I don’t keep their door closed he will go in and get them up, himself. He does not carry them by the scruff, he carries the whole kitten around its middle, so I am trying to discourage this.  Though he is careful.

See how his head is up and alert. Some kitty has wandered off.

He likes to have all three of them in one space.  He is a herding dog after all. Have you ever heard that expression,”Like herding cats?”. When they seperate and rush about into different areas he is a very uptight  BooNanny.  There are three kittens  in the next short sequence.  But with them all tangled together you need to search for them.

Little puss is in there too. It just took him a while to get over there. When Boo has them all in one space he is quiet. My dog can count. If he could warm and hold the bottle for them I would be obsolete!

Have a glorious day.  Today we are racking the wine then crushing apples for apple cider, just as soon as I have picked the rest of the apples! It has been an amazingly stunning year for apples. You know the rules: Waste Not – Want Not!

  1. Yes he is a great Step Dad! Love how they just innately know what to do and you are right by the middle even when gentle may bruise the wee ones soon they will swat and hiss and I will feel bad for Boo.

  2. No, no, no, please don’t stop these lovely posts C, they are such wonderful uplifting posts.
Maybe you can just sneak in a shot or three in with your other posts. 😀
Have a beautiful week ahead C.
    🙂 Mandy xo

  3. I can hear Mandy shouting “No , don’t stop now” in the Cape (2000km from me). This post has to be the best sequence yet! Well done BooNanny for proving that Cats can be herded, and this is another childrens book all on its own. Enjoy your ‘scrumping’ 🙂 Laura

  4. This is a brilliant share that just goes to show.. Cats and Dogs don’t only rain but they do love each other… these are just too damn cute…

  5. I just love it when two different animal love each other that much. Keep the stories and the pics coming C, it satisfies my cuteness quotient for the day. Happy Canadian Thanksgiving to you!

  6. They are beautiful, precious photos; please keep ’em coming, they make me feel good!
Boo is a most excellent step-father to those little kittens and no harm will come to them whilst he’s around.

  7. I’d be happy to look at your kitten photos every day (well into the future).
I think we’d all be sorry if you stop posting them.

  8. I echo the others: please don’t stop! Could you teach Boo the scruff of the neck technique? You are so good at animal training…..

Enjoy the cider making – we used to love it when asked to help. It it cold here now – I am wearing 4 layers, two of them wool, with my patchwork kimono on top. I don’t think the thermostats are working for the underfloor electric heating.

  9. There can never be enough posts about Boo and the kittens..fforget the corn, the sugar beet, and all other mundane things that keep your farmy going…l do so enjoy reading about the animals

  10. I agree with everyone else—don’t stop!!! I love the Boo and kittens photos!!! He is so loving and tender with them –even if he does grab them around the middle. 🙂
