Kupa’s First Eye..

The first eye feather of the the season. We have been watching his tail feathers grow and this morning there it was, the first eye feather, it is destined to be the longest of his tail feathers and when he lifts his tail in the spring and fans it out it will be the tallest. And we saw it first. How cool is that.

You can almost see these feathers growing can’t you.

I can almost see these piglets growing too.

The hay field has been raked.

Queenie is actually chewing here, (with her mouth closed like a well brought up cow) though she looks like she has such a smug look on her face!

Boo is not terribly sure that the Marmalade Cat is old enough to be outside yet.  He keeps the kitten close to the door.

I hope you all have a lovely day.

  1. The Duke is breaking out his partay wardrobe again… By the time spring comes around he’ll be ready to stun the ladies once more. The piggies are looking particularly adorable today; I love how cold weather makes animals fluff up their coats so they look extra woolly.

  2. Beautiful pics C! I absolutely adore how Boo looks after our wee Marmalade baby and Duke is going to be the most exquisite peacock when all his feathers come in – not sure that is how you phrase it.
Have a beautiful happy farmy weekend.
    🙂 Mandy xo

  3. Your light is so beautifully pink that even Marmy looks like a Pinky. I love it. It reminds me of Europe. Here in Van the light is very cool blue; especially this time of the year. You know, before I met the farmy animals I used to think that all cows looked alike. Boy was I wrong about that. Love the distinct personalities and faces of your two. (I thought the same about golden retrievers until I met people who owned them.) Not sure what this has to do with the price of fish, but wanted to wish you a lovely day. 🙂

    • Love that phrase “the price of fish” haven’t heard it in such a long time! Funny how we are brought up with these ‘sayings’ in the family and don’t think twice about them, until you live in a foreign country and suddenly hear one from ‘home’! My other favorite is “as useful as a chocolate tea pot”!!

  4. Morning! Kupas first eye is beautiful!!! Can’t wait til the spring to see all those feathers in full regalia!!! It will be magnificent! 😀
Queenie does look rather smug…ha ha ha! Mine! The piggies are having a good feast!
And Boo is the best boy ever!!!! I just love him! ❤
I know you are busy writing…so I'll be quiet this morning! (((hugs))) Muah on the cheek!

  5. I love reading your entries every day! The photo of the barn with the pink sky is gorgeous! BTW – I wish one of our local farmers would snatch my pumpkin for their cows. I’m not sure what to do with it at this point.
