The first eye feather of the the season. We have been watching his tail feathers grow and this morning there it was, the first eye feather, it is destined to be the longest of his tail feathers and when he lifts his tail in the spring and fans it out it will be the tallest. And we saw it first. How cool is that.
You can almost see these feathers growing can’t you.
I can almost see these piglets growing too.
The hay field has been raked.
Queenie is actually chewing here, (with her mouth closed like a well brought up cow) though she looks like she has such a smug look on her face!
Boo is not terribly sure that the Marmalade Cat is old enough to be outside yet. He keeps the kitten close to the door.
I hope you all have a lovely day.

My baby was born this morning! Her mommy had to have a c-section. She had 9 puppies! 4 girls and 5 boys! One of those little girls will be mine! Woo hoo! I have been sad for so long…this is a good day! Mommy and babies are all doing well! Had to share! 😀
Congratulations, Mere! I can’t remember her breed, but all dogs are adorable.
I am so glad you are going to have your own wee pup soon, fancy that poor dog having to have a C section. Well done you.. c
I am fascinated by that pig’s hoof, or more specifically, toes. So cute! And I don’t want The Marmalade to ever leave the house. I’m remembering Mary’s Cat.
Kupa’s eye feather reminds me of the Egyptian Eye of Horus, a symbol of protection. And he wanders the Farmy with his feathered eye over it. Wonderful sunset, red sky at night, sailors delight, bodes well for a lovely day 🙂
A lovely little girl golden retriever! 😀 Maisy would be happy for me. I just know it! Thank you Celi and Equus!
Congratulations – there is nothing so gorgeous as a golden puppy – we should know 🙂 Joy
Lesson for the day: what an eye feather is on a peacock! Desire for the day: to have lunch as soon as possible [spicy turkey burgers and kale salad] and feel as contented as those animals! Pleasure for the day: seeing Boo babysit Marmalade! Beauty for the day: those unreal evening photos!!
Oh there you are eha, yes that is your tree growing so diligently in the thicket! Sorry I did not get back to you yesterday.. I have my nose to the grindstone.. c
Good! I would have had to send the tree fairies over for a scolding during your night!! Ni-ni when you get around to it 🙂 !!
sweet dreams for me .. soon.. c
Queenie looks so animated!
So beautiful!
Wonderful skies… and gorgeous pic of Boo and Marmalade XXx
Wonderful photos and that eye feather is most impressive.
Plenty of colour in this post. I am so far behind, I had to go back to see when you wrote it! We had similar skies for two evenings in a row, they were almost lavender pink.
That is one amazing tail Kupa has. Beautiful sunrise shots.
