The New Daily View

Yes, the Daily View has changed. No more tree house and a lot less foliage.

But still minor compared to a lot of damage around the area. Here is the Daily View from exactly a year ago. If you want to check out that post you will see that  Kupa’s tail feathers were much more advanced this time last year. I am not sure why.

nov20-028There is still a lot to clear up after the wind. But it can wait.

Quiet day for everyone today. The Matriarch came and took all my laundry away and I had help with the housework. So I got some seriously restful healing done.

Now, I have not forgotton that you asked for the bacon and egg pie recipe so I will do that tomorrow.

Take good care, be careful on the steps in high winds.

your friend by the fire,

celi

p.s. If you want to go back exactly two years, here is that post.

  1. Nature is so beautiful to those who live in cities because it’s so rare and peaceful but we never see the other side of the coin.
Peaceful it is not when it shows its temper… wishing you all the best and much energy to put things back in order.

  2. Seriously restful healing is important. Bacon and egg pie less so. Stay on that sofa, lounging elegantly on your side to keep the weight off your tail, pecking out a blog with one finger on one hand, knocking back the occasional White Russian when inspirations fails. But oh, I was forgetting, this is Celi we’re talking about. That’s just not going to happen, is it?

  3. I know that your tornados cause great destruction and loss of home but compare your tree house situation with the events in Philippines. ? That puts it more in perspective.
as long as you are okay..other things can be replaced but not our Ceci…take care Miss C xxxxx

    • Oh No. please don’t misunderstand me. I would never compare my little blow to the horror over there. I merely document what goes on here, I am not complaining. I would hate for you to think that. c

      • Of course not sweet pea! Never a thought! Not for an instant! We each feel our own pain and this does not take away from anyone else’s. When it is personal it hurts too!
She is right in that… things can be replaced, but not you! 🙂 Suffering is suffering no matter who great or small in comparison. (((hugs)))

      • No
, C that was not what I meant it to mean. Itis difficult to write in words but I did not intend to suggest that….

  4. More of a tree veranda than house now but maybe you could still fix a swing to one of the branches. Not that you’d be putting your bottom on it for a while! Take care and enjoy being looked after.

  5. Checked out last year’s post–Kupa’s display is stunning. What an incomparably beautiful sight. I checked out two years ago too. Very sad to see Mary’s Cat. I can’t recall what happened to Thing One and Thing Two. And now I can’t remember the big orange cat’s name–not Marmalade but the other orange cat.
Hope you are healing,Celi, and hope the Motrin is helping.

    • there are two more orange cats, Lulu who is the smaller one and Egoli who is the big cat you are referring to. He is a fantastic mouser but comes in most nights now that it is getting colder.. c

  6. I am greatly relieved that you are getting some help! Rest is what you need to heal! It will be painful for quite a while…baby steps my rambunctious friend!!!! It drove me crazy too to be still!
I am sorry about the tree damage and the loss of the treehouse…sigh…I hate to lose good trees! Especially the larger ones!
Tornadoes are destructive and devastating for so many when they hit. That was a bad one…for sure. My heart goes out to all it’s victims.
They are a worry here too.
Take care and don’t hurry yourself! Take whatever help you can get! You are strong, but everyone can get hurt and needs time to heal. We all have a turn at it…love you!
Hugs for you and the kids! And please heed our mothering!!!!! LOL
