Sheila hates her diet so much she tried stealing the chook food.

I am not sure if this is Pania again, too far away to see if she has the gap in her crown or not. But What is she doing up there again?  Probably trying to warm me about what I would find in the chook house.

But I had already collected the eggs so she followed me back out and ate them one by one standing knee deep in the snow. In fact her diet has lots of food in it but no oats and oats are her favourite food. Usually I give her a mix of oats and barley and wheat  instead of the dreaded corn or soy. But I think the oats have been fattening her up. But now no oats – only  eggs, milk, wheat germ, alfalfa and piles of veges and fruit from the store. (They give me a bag of old stuff twice a week). But all in smaller portions of course as portions are the most important part of any diet.

Good morning. We may not have a dawn again today as we are in the midst of another snow storm. The clouds are still very low. The light will just filter into the air like fine sand. I cannot see much from the windows but it does not look like we had too, too much. As opposed to TOO much. All the deep footprints on the porch are filled so I am going to guess maybe two or three inches.

We had a plethora of incredible comments yesterday.  Thank you for those.  There are many new ideas in there for those of us who are trying to live within our means and the means of the generous forgiving earth we share with. So if you missed them, pop back, the comments are  guaranteed to be interesting reading.  I shall go back now, while I am waiting for the light to rise, so I can answer last nights contributions.  I might see you in there.

Maybe I should be writing a book of comments. But imagine the copyright issues!!

Or Maybe I should make a  collection Post from the Comments Lounge. Or a series. Now there is a thought!. Hmm..

I hope you all have a lovely day.

PS  Good news.  The best news. The lost teenager Jade, the daughter of one of the original Fellowship members has been found. She is alive and safe in the hands of the French police who found her yesterday. Her mother our friend is ecstatic.  So thank you all of you who helped in the search with your shares, and prayers, twitters and hanging posters.  Every little bit helped. Many thanks.

  1. You are right about the great comments on yesterday’s blog. It’s so interesting hearing from people in so many different parts of the world. Wonderful about Jade being found. Here in NZ it is Waitangi day, warm and blowing but rainy up north. Naughty Sheila is looking for her wild oats before she settles down into motherhood.
