The sun poured all over the little farm and all her creatures yesterday.
Molten golden light of sun. The house warmed right up.
Ah, we all said, who cares about the house?.. and stayed outside too long.
Making tracks to and fro in the snow.
Sheila was being very vocal yesterday. Quite the Queen. Her wound is dry (or frozen solid hard to tell) but the swelling has receded and she has been very active these last few days, galloping about being stern with everyone. The last three nights she has built the highest beds, leaving me very little loose straw for her cover. She just lies there tucked down into the straw grunting softly as I cover her all up, except her snout. Then I close her doors because I hate a draft don’t you.
She is feeling much better thank you.
I hope you all have a lovely day.
Though we are off to a cold start, today is supposed to warm up even more.

The sun was glorious yesterday! And tomorrow we’re supposed to rise above freezing. It will be wonderful. I’m glad Sheila is doing better and I’m happy that the sun shown on the little farmy as well. Spring will be here soon – before we know it. I’m already preparing – March 1st, my winter coat gets packed away. 😉
It looks like your snow is getting ragged and tired! WHICH IS EXCELLENT!!! Magic thoughts for warm, warm days for you soon!

You must be the biggest softie around..I would love to share a bed with Sheila. She is such an intelligent lovely pig
shiela looks like a pig that feels well and is happy to be home! at least this new storm will not hit you!
What a great black & white to color comparison!
Where there’s [sun]light there’s hope 🙂 The winter landscape comes up so well in monochrome. To view it, even from my vantage point, in colour it’s bright enough to contemplate sunglasses.
Did you call Sheila’s name to get her to turn to the camera? And where is Eha these days, haven’t seen her here in the lounge for ages, I hope she’s ok, there’s heatwaves and bushfires down south.
Eha is OK, she is watching the winter olympics! I will tell her you asked after her.. c
Winter olympics hey? is she knitting while she watches 🙂 good she’s ok, thankyou.
Thank you for asking Nanette! I have taken a blog break until about the beginning of March for the Olympics and quite a few other tasks, but am keeping an eye on the farmy, feeling the freezing weather with all of you and so enjoying Sheila playing Lady Muck 🙂 ! I live close to Sydney – the poor people of Victoria have borne the brunt of the worst bushfires since Black Saturday of 2009!
So glad to hear you’ve had some sunshine, and that you might get to thaw out a little. 🙂
Seem to be better all round.
I would have thought that winter olympics would have no charm for anyone in chilly areas!
Besides road cycling championships all around the world this child born in the fiendishly cold cliamate of Northern Europe can’t wait from the end of one Winter Olympics to the beginning of the next 😀 !! Because of our geographical position here Down Under all of us here in the Village begin watching about 6pm every night and go straight thru’ to about 5 am!! Not very sensible in daytimes 🙂 ! And to answer Nanette: it is FAR too exciting to knit at the same time – you yell and cheer and clap!!!!
I asked about knitting because most of the ladies in my online charity knitting group are all talking winter Olympics…..and knitting as they watch….easy projects I think. Wasn’t sure exactly where “down south” you were, but well away from bushfires.
Glad to hear Sheila is feeling much better – there’s no place like home and a mother’s TLC is there? I wish I could swap you some sunshine for some of your cold – we are sweltering here in Qld. Roll on winter!
Hi Ceciliia,
Those are lovely pictures, specially the B & W ones. The environment and the snow does look more unforgiving in these does it not?
