The Best Of May

It is the last day of May. Yesterday Nanette  reminded me that I asked her to remind me and so she has reminded me that the last day of the month is here, so that I could do a Best of the Month Post.

I have loaded all the ones I love the most for you. Because I am on the last three days of collating and organising and writing for The Letters to My Sister book, that many of you have helped me write, my words for the next three days will be limited. I know you all understand.   This book is important to many of us.  Not least of all my Sister!! Did I miss any highlights?

I did go through quite instinctively, trying not to second guess myself and loading them quickly.

So, no more words today. Just pictures.

My words are elsewhere for the weekend. Monday is my personal deadline for the completed first draft.

I hope you all have a lovely day.

Love your friend on the farmy

  1. Smiles all the way. Yes, pigs noses are the best. Oh, they don’t have noses, they have snouts, right? Either way, they make me smile and laugh.

  2. May was wonderful month on the farmy. Lot of creatures new & not so new, all reveling in the much anticipated arrival of Spring. Plenty of tender green grass to graze on, decadent sunshine to relax in & even the occasional mud puddle to roll in (for those that enjoy that kind of thing). Everyone thrilled to see Winter’s long grasp recede and replaced by Spring’s gifts – the arrival of new life, the planting of the garden, the simple pleasure of long naps in the restorative rays of the sun (Don’t forget your sunscreen Shelia, Poppy & Tima) and the promise of good days ahead as May gives way to June.

  3. The little brown chick? What breed is she? She looks very similar to the ones we just got from the farm store. They’re just a pretty, brown hen and I wondered if they were a specific breed? Lovely photos Celi. I’m so excited about the book!

  4. May was a lovely month, winter relinquishing its grip… and everyone basked, and grew, and others came new to the Farmy, while Sheila found the sun pleasing it was a little too warm, and shade necessitated invention…

  5. Thank you Milady – lovely to have them all together, and I swear some of them I had not seen before 🙂 ! Hope the writing muse sits on your shoulder!! [Meanwhile I am off to bed with the first feverish cold I have had in two decades! The computer may not see me for a few days either 🙂 !]
