The Best Of May

It is the last day of May. Yesterday Nanette  reminded me that I asked her to remind me and so she has reminded me that the last day of the month is here, so that I could do a Best of the Month Post.

I have loaded all the ones I love the most for you. Because I am on the last three days of collating and organising and writing for The Letters to My Sister book, that many of you have helped me write, my words for the next three days will be limited. I know you all understand.   This book is important to many of us.  Not least of all my Sister!! Did I miss any highlights?

I did go through quite instinctively, trying not to second guess myself and loading them quickly.

So, no more words today. Just pictures.

My words are elsewhere for the weekend. Monday is my personal deadline for the completed first draft.

I hope you all have a lovely day.

Love your friend on the farmy

  1. Absolutely fabulous pictures! All my little guys and girls on the Farmy!! Don’t know which one I would give 1st prize to — they are all worth a blue ribbon!!!
You and all of your Kids!! see ya Ms Celi.

  2. Celi, May I move you away from the farm a moment and tell you about a fellow blogger in Nigeria? His name is Uzoma, and bios blog’s name is 85 Degrees. Uzo writes mystery stories but I just found out yesterday that he is trying to start a soap making business but then last batch had a problem. I thought of you immediately, and wonder whether you would mind checking out his blog; this week he kindly devoted his page to a review of my book. Perhaps you could lend a hand to a start-up business in Nigeria. 85Degrees.wordpress.com Thank you.

    • I will go and have a look, luckily right here in the fellowship we have some very experienced soap makers so I will surely point them in his direction too.. I shall pop over right now.. thank you honey.. c

  3. Best of luck with finishing the draft! All these pictures (as yours usually do) make me a little homesick for my family farm. I think my favorite has got to be the peacocks, though; that is an absolutely beautiful image!

  4. How can pigs’ noses be so endearing? I’m not quite sure how, but indeed they are! 🙂 Just love all the Best of May Photos! xoxoxo

  5. Absolutely glorious pictures, especially the second time around and all together. Sheila’s impromptu shade picture made me laugh out loud again. The more I read about your pigs, the more I realize how intelligent and crafty they are. Crafty in the inventive way, not in the glue gun and popsicle stick way, tho maybe they are similar, hmmm, but i digress. Sometimes it just comes down to that handy opposable thumb that we humans enjoy. Anyway, I like pigs! Can’t wait to meet Sheila, Poppy, Tima and the Plonkers and the rest of the gang.

I’m excited about the book. I’ve never been a contributing author before so this will be a novel experience for me. (I know, it’s non fiction, but it still works, kind of)

It’s beautiful and sunshiney here today in central Texas. Projected high of 90 degrees F. I have one or two small tomatoes on my plants and more flowers, so hopefully, we will get a good crop this year. The pole beans are climbing their poles, but no beans or flowers yet. This is the first time we have tried pole beans. They are fun. Four and a half more days and we are free for the summer! YAY!

Hopefully, you will have a wonderfully sunny, rain free day on the farmy.

  6. Nice pictures of happy animals. Good luck writing your first draft.
We bought an all electric car yesterday , it’s feel great. Had dinner in town while the car was charging in the parking garage.😄😄

  7. Aw, love all these photos to the max. I’m anticipating two stressy days over here for the art in the garden show event and so lovely for me to start the morning with a cup of tea and all our lovely farmy critters. Big hugs, good morning and I hope you’re having a terrific, sunny, salady, meadowy day. 😀

  8. These are fab fab C. I can’t pic a favorite either. You can see the love in your animals! 🙂

  9. Thanks to Nanette for remembering about the end of the month round-up. I’d forgotten. The pictures are charming. I’m going back over them to see if I can remember all their names as Kate does. Good luck with the book!
