There is a slight chill in the air in the early mornings now. Though it has NOTHING to do with the approach of autumn. Just a slight dip in temperatures that is all. Summer will come back. 
My early morning walk over to see the calves is turning into my favourite part of the day… there is a little bit more magic when the light is low and the earth sits cool and quiet.

We have snow here, today. And I was off behaving recklessly with my sister in the sunshine all weekend, and so was not here to cover the last half of our tomato crop – still on the vine. Sometimes it’s awfully tempting to move a little bit west or a long way south, but then how would we have summer at all?

It’s that time of the year when our weathers equalize and meet – north and south hemispheres. Sydney had an amazing sea fog along its waterways yesterday. The mornings and bright & cool, not cold so I shall have to come out of hibernation, they are calling me. In the past I have morning walked all winter but this year the chill beat me. Like you I enjoy the quiet and feel of early mornings.

There is something magical in early mornings even here in a city before rush hour starts. Most, though, are too busy getting ready to start their day to notice what’s going on just a few feet outside their door. Great photos, Celi. I don’t know what Ton saw by that guardrail but I recognize the stance. 🙂

The calves look really nice, and I’m sure it’s not just the lighting. They are beautiful. In a year with so many minuses, you got some great additions.
