Don’t be fooled though. Manouchki has been observed sleeping with dogs and also with pigs. She and Tima appear to have an arrangement whereby Tima lies really still and Manouchki lies on her back kneading all the knots out of those little pig shoulders. True. I am stalking them today to try and get the shot. But it is almost impossible to sneak up on a pig.
Speaking of Tima she was banished back to her own quarters, and out of min,e yesterday afternoon for breaking a red bowl, sticking her head in the rubbish bin, then running off with a potato from the pantry.
Do you see Godot’s tail growing? He is still a very shy bird, it is hard to get a decent shot of him. But he is growing.
The handsome hay-man came with his teddy today and tedded the hay. They should just call it a fluffer as it fluffs up the hay. But I guess tedder is better. The ground is very wet and rain is threatening to fall again on Saturday. So now my hay field looks like this, in the hopes that it will dry faster.
I will decide on Friday when to rake it.
Dinner. Do you like my new kitchen table? The Matriarch found it for me on a garage sale. I love it.
I hope you have a lovely day.
Your friend on the farmy,
miss c

I simply adore that table! What a lovely find. Good morning to you all, c!
Great table and dinner. That’s a new meaning of the word teddy to me – Teddy Boys, bears, skimpy nightgowns and now hay fluffing. Perhaps the nightgowns and fluffing go together 😉
It really is called a Tedder. (though I have no idea how that is spelled) But I can’t help the jump!.. morning mad!.. c
I’ll pray for your hay. The table is good. Jock is poorlyinbedunderthedoctor as my Mum used to say. So I’m not doing much other than creeping into his room with things he says no to. I can’t get the car out of the garage (too tight a fit, and I’ve lost all my confidence in driving) so I’m not going anywhere for a bit!
love,
ViV x
Oh ViV, poor Jock feeling Poorly.. give him our love (or not – he might not want that either being under the doctor and all).. take care.. c
Thanks Celie. He’s just eaten half a bowl of soup – the first ‘food’ in 48 hours, so he’s improving, though the effort of eating has sent him back to sleep.
I was just wondering about Godot yesterday – glad to see he’s doing well!
yes he is .. but so camera shy. .. if all goes well he wil have fantastic tail by spring.. c
Great minds. I was thinking about him yesterday too !
Oh, yes, love the table. I have a very similar one. Looking forward to a photo of Tima and her masseuse. 🙂
I LOVE THAT TABLE! I used to have one of those! Very neat find!
Minouchki, the masseuse and Tima the chiflada, a Spanish word meaning spoiled. 😉 Animals and their relationships are so fascinating. I hope you can sneak up on them, but even so, I have a picture in my head which makes me smile. Love that green on the table! The Matriarch is a smart shopper. Scrumptious looking meal. Perhaps it’s one of the chickens that I dragged around over the summer. Yum.
Fluffer works for me. Hopefully, there will be sun today where you are to help with the drying. We are predicted to get rain here today which is wonderful.
Have a glorious day C!
I love your table too C. And that gorgeous bird on it! Have you ever made beer can chicken? Yum!
Can’t wait to see Tima getting a massage! 🙂
I love you and your throng so much Ceci – sorry for not keeping up lately – you are always such a breath of fresh wind on my sweaty face (not very poetic but you get the drift!) Jxxxx
Yes. I do love your new table, and your photo of it; how well you captured the moment of waiting eat, right up to the steam from the pot. Corn? hmmmm – may have to roast a chicken tonight. Looks like that table has extensions that pull out. Whatever, it is a keeper and a good “find”. 🙂
That steaming pot is the strained fresh vegetable stock waiting to go into the gravy.. yum.. c
Looking forward to Godots displays soon. Lovely previously loved table 🙂 Laura
Your new table is fab and the food on it makes me want to pop in the car and head east to come see you. It looks delightful but then that is not surprising at all given you are such a talented lady. I can imagine the cat giving pig massage pics now……perfect for a calendar page if you can snap them!
it looks kind of weird actually, but i think the cat is softening Tima up for winter hot water bottle duties!.. c
Love the steamy bowl shot and that roasted bird 😉 Morning miss c..t
morning miss t.. c
If Tima ever tires of her feline masseuse, I shall volunteer to come and knead her knots and tickle her furry face, the wicked piggy. And for you, Miss C, I shall make chocolate orange torte and chicken soup.
Oh God! That sounds divine, I will make up your bed and put the kettle on!!.. c
I think naughty and pig must be synonyms. 🙂 Evidence of how smart they are.
How do you pronounce Manouchki? I am guessing “Ma Nooch Key”. Am I close?
we should ask ViV .. being our reident linguist and the namer of that particular cat but I say Ma NooSH Key.. which is probably what you are saying too..
