Kunekune boar

Maybe this wee boarfriend for Tima?  I have just heard that we can buy him.  I would love to have him. This little kunekune boar is beautifully bred.

This is a shot of him when he was a baby  (supplied by Lori Enright his breeder) and above with his sister when he was a bit younger, Mrs Enright will hold him for me until I get back then we will have him shipped from Southern California  to Chicago in late October.  He is only three months old but is big for his age and ridiculously handsome.  A boar kunekune can start breeding about 8 months of age,  usually a litttle later though  and in five months Tima will be quite ready.  Fingers crossed.  It has been a long search to find an animal who has such beautiful lines and who is not related to Tima.  Many thanks to Lori.

Lori is the founder  of  the USA Herd of Kunekune Pigs and very particular about her  breeding program  and so I am excited that she has given us the opportunity to buy one of her boys.  Our own breeding program will be an exciting adventure!

It has turned cold. So I had better bundle up and get myself ready for my second to last day on the farmy.

Have a lovely day.

Your friend on the farmy

  1. such a handsome fellow. Tima will be so pleased that you have found a suitable husband for her….makes the future even brighter!

  2. What a cutie pie! Those pert little ears! Those eyelashes. He’s beautiful, C, just beautiful. Much internal squealing here in Texas. Much to look forward to on the farmy in the coming months in spite of old man winter. Put on your layers and have a wonderful day.

  3. He is gorgeous! Will he be coming by road or flying in, just so I can start worrying about him now? 🙂 Laura

  4. He is adorable, you must get him. I don’t know why I am so excited by this. They will have beautiful babies!! I thought Tima’s eyes were the only ones like that, those eyes just go straight to the soul.

  5. Tima deserves a ridiculously handsome husband, being ridiculously gorgeous herself. Can you imagine their offspring, combining filmstar good looks with outrageous naughtiness and intelligence. Look out world!

  6. He is a nice looking boar. Naomi still wants a pet pig, but we just can’t make that happen until we’re on our own farm. One day though, maybe Naomi will have a Tima piglet of her own 🙂

  7. So exciting Celi!! I just love Tima!!! The cutest pig ever!!! I’m dropping hints around here that we probably need one! On that note….Roxi, our original sow who lost most of her babies when she farrowed on the coldest day of this year, has just given birth to 8 piglets!!! And they all look wonderful and so does she!!! 🙂

  8. And will you be thinking of dashing names for this young suitor whilst on your holiday??
Also, because I don’t know his genetic makeup as far as coloring, what color piglets would you be likely to get out of their pairing?
