My friend has come

We spent all day getting back home from the airport then threw our city clothes into the baskets and changed into farm gear and got to work. She was thrilled to see Geraldine and Naomi so big and strong.

We talked and talked and talked. We only stopped talking when she fell asleep on the couch in front of the fire, after dinner.

Amanda loves to make special drinks and our drink for this visit is Gin and Champagne and Lemons from her mothers tree with a twist of mint. Divine.

I LOVE intelligent women.

I hope you have a wonderful day.

We will!

  1. Photos, photos, photos! I know what you mean about the early dark. Seems like I can;t get any light to paint or photograph in these days. Thank goodness the fingers of light are grabbing a tiny bit more each day. 😀

  2. Those special friends (and family) are wonderful, the ones who come to stay and be, come back again and are part of the household, who know where the cup, glasses and plates are and make themselves, and you, at home 🙂

  3. Thank you for that nice shot of Amanda… Hello tou you, Amanda. Looks like you’re feeling quite well at home there, don’t you? I wish you both having a beautiful get together, a happy time!

  4. I loved Albert’s comment, (Talk is not cheap; it is valuable, precious.) That is so true and intelligent conversation is rare indeed. I too would be asleep on the couch after a long trip and that drink, if I made it to the couch.:) I hope you have many good days of wonderful conversations and shared experiences. That’s what makes good friendships. You are both blessed to have each other.
