I have lost my camera

I must have put it down somewhere outside and for the life of me I cannot find it at all. The camera moves around with me all day so it is not uncommon for me to put it down then back track to collect it, but this is the first time it has disappeared completely.

At least it did not rain last night.  But it is on its way.  And it is going to be windy again – it is always windy this time of year.

What a weird thing to happen – losing my camera. But it has been pretty busy these last few days, my brain has a lot to remember.  And we are all unusually tired – still working up to summer fitness I guess.

I need to get going early as I have pigs to deliver before I begin the day.  I leave at 6.30 am.

Poppy is home, she is starting to belly down so later today I will let the piglets and Molly into the other side of the barn, then I will set up a creep in there for the piglets, then after they are familiar with the area I will lock them into the other side and shift Poppy into the farrowing pen.  I will do all this over the course of a couple of days so no-one is rushed.

Poppy should give me a week but I am not betting on it.

I hope you are well and have a good day. I hate not having pictures. If Camera House does not turn up I will get my old camera back out.

Have a lovely day

  1. *When* you find it, consider painting it bright orange or pink. You will never, ever lose it again… I have taken to painting tools for the very same reason and it seems to work. Not only can I find them easily because of the bright colour, but Other People don’t seem to be so attracted to them to Borrow them.

    • I am the only woman in my IT department with 7 male co-workers. I have a screwdriver with a floral handle — it may get borrowed temporarily, but it always comes home to me, because they don’t want to be seen using it! LOL!

      • There you go! Here, they sell bright pink tools for women, and I’d buy some if I didn’t find the concept so patronising and the tools such poor quality…

  2. Near the piggie creep being reorganized or on the seat of the tractor which was ‘parked’ in the new vegetable garden on the previous photos?

  3. I have a feeling you placed it on a fence – or on the rail of one of the animal pens…. and it fell in. Perhaps into the straw or something. Hope you find it soon my friend!! ; o (

  4. I’m forever losing my lens cap. Usually I slip it in my pocket but some days I whip it off and put it on a shelf or table and then forget where I’ve left it. Last time my son came in with it after finding it lying on the grass – I’d given up looking for it but then he just wandered by and saw it. Your post seems very odd without photos!

    • Lol, that used to happen to me all the time as well… until I found a little gadget at the camera shop. (It’s a piece of nylon cord with an elastic cord loop to keep it harnessed to the lens body at one end and a self-adhesive button at the other which you stick on the lens cap. Never a worry since; )
