The Supple Symphony of Freedom

To be truly free. We must not block the freedom to others. I try hard to make decisions with compassion and empathy. This applies to our fellow humans. And don’t forget the elderly – they also have the right to make their own decisions. We have a lot of work to do and we cannot do it until we are all free of tyranny. There will always be tyrants and our freedom comes from turning them off in our feeds and in our heads.

I believe in sustainable living. Doing no harm. Living Lightly – all that good stuff. But I have no right to force feed my beliefs on those around me.

If you are reading the news on your phone remember that the AI algorithm will feed you more of what you already read. So groom and curate your reading by clicking on anything you want more of.

Freeing the hogs out into the field for a run made me feel free-er!!

Empathy is such a beautiful word don’t you think?.

Two huge hogs in a field

Here is the reel of Jude and Freebee taking their first long walk.

Through the thistles.

I have started their wallow. Yesterday they were able to go back and forth into the barn area (past the dangerously damaged fenceposts) – today I will shut them in the field for the day and they can go back into the barn for the night.

Tomorrow they will be in the field all day and all night.

When John gets back he will fix those fence posts then they can wander freely back and forth.

Travel

I leave on Sunday which is in four days. So my bags are out. I will be staying in a total of eight households. And they all have washing machines! So i will be packing two of everything per season (except knickers – I am allowed as many knickers as I want!).

cow and calf sharing food

My jackets, and winter beach warmies are already in NZ.

pea omelette and coffee

Pea omelette for me today.

Good morning!

Another busy day ahead.

PS Soft Launch

Thank you so much for all the emails from people who want to be in on the soft launch of thekitchensgarden. Which literally means that I will send you an email with the link to the first blog post from the new site, you will need to subscribe then comment, comment, comment. (The comment feature is a joy to behold). The Sustainable Home has a newsletter that you can subscribe to as well – though I will not open that business until I have our blog (the mother ship) up and running fluently. You can still subscribe though and even book a first meeting! Though you all get coupons and discounts and FreeBee has freebies!

TSH will probably open in August.

An email should be coming out to the soft launch group on Friday with the link to the new website.

Yesterday was training day! Not ready!! (laughter).

If you would like to join the Soft Launch group please email me at celima.g.7@gmail.com.

  1. Ahh ~ freedom for the piggies!!! Wow can’t believe you’re leaving Sunday already!! Bet you are excited to see your family!!!

  2. Your trip will be wonderful! I’m super excited for you! And for your family having you with them! Sunday will be here before you know it! I love the first picture of the pig staring out the gate!

  3. There are online groups dedicated to the One Bag travel principle. I made a week-long trip to San Diego with a single backpack. When we went to Peru, I was determined to one-bag-it, but we ended up taking 5 suitcases for 3 people because we were able to bring 40kg school supplies as a donation to Maximo’s education projects. It was a worthwhile trade off. Personal belongings, though, were one bag only.
