It is Saturday. I know!

The new website is up. I am leaving the farm tomorrow (I am taking you with me though – Kate is making me an extra big pocket to stow you all in). I will travel as sustainably as I can as long as I don’t have to walk across the country or stay in a tent. (Bad laughter). Sustainable travel is an interesting challenge. I will tell you about it as I go.

We had our Soft Launch for thekitchensgarden.ORG yesterday evening, no champagne and cigars yet. Our contact forms and subscription buttons on the new blog site are not working for some reason. The site developer Duane will go in today to see why. Once we get these little glitches (quite a big glitch actually!) ironed out then it will be champagne time!

But it is Saturday. Sigh.

I am sure everything will be ready by Monday when TKG goes all official!! Optimism is my default!

Until then I will try to stay calm.

It is a tiny problem compared to world affairs. A mere drop in the ocean. At least we don’t have one marauding Russian army rolling headlong into another Russian marauding army. With two mad commanders in chief. I sense trouble there. Big trouble. It is almost medieval.

John’ arrived back late in the night that was really early in the morning, leaving a trail of lights left blazing through the house, marking his route, as he made his way to the West Wing. I guess my light bulb free challenge is over. Though I really enjoyed the challenge of living two weeks without light bulbs.

For the first time this morning The Big Pigs, Jude and FreeBee were at their field gate waiting for their breakfast. They are great sleeper in-er-ers! And I start early!

All I have is a sunrise this morning. (I am going to pop this pic up on thekitchensgarden.org too – just because I can now!) Lots to learn. Learning is cool.

Hazy again this morning.

OK – I am off over to the other site to go through the Soft Launch edits and comments there.

Love ya

  1. Will be fun to see the new blog…I’m sure you have switched out all your lightbulbs to LED’s so at least that trail of light won’t be too harsh on the world. 🙂 Where was John off too btw?

  2. Nice, peaceful pictures to offset the trouble of glitches. It’s been that kind of week. I’m amazed how our parents’ teaching to turn off lights as you go, didn’t stick with all of us. Some houses are lit up like Christmas trees every night! Good luck with your new launch. I’ll check it out!

  3. Love the new blog, thank you so much. Glad to hear it’s not just me that couldn’t sign in. Safe safe happy travels😎

  4. Rather excited to vacation with you C as I won’t be doing travel this summer- My visit to the daughters in Colorado will happen in the fall.

  5. Duane will get it sorted, I’m sure. All births are difficult, but look at the reward once the messy stuff is over. I’ll keep trying while you keep flying. You’ll probably land to a thousand notifications.

  6. Whoa, this got me! “At least we don’t have one marauding Russian army rolling headlong into another Russian marauding army. With two mad commanders in chief. I sense trouble there. Big trouble. It is almost medieval.” That’s exactly what it is! Medieval!!! Soooooo crazy! But I’m so hoping it brings the insane war to an end! Optimism is often my default too! 🙂 Sending hugs and wishes for pleasant flights home! xo

  7. Can’t wait to hear about your travels, Cecilia. And look forward to a new blog. Hope I can understand how to get to it.

  8. Safe travels and have a grand time with your family. Everything with the new site will get worked out, just takes time and patience.

  9. The new website is wonderful and there’s a lot to it… You accomplished the soft launch. Yay. And we figured out the glitch. I’m impressed there’s only the subscription issue. Safe travels ♡

  10. Not when I went into the new site yesterday. What I meant is exercise of the soft launch was successful in the test group identifying issues.
As they say here, don’t worry she’ll be right mate.
