This Beach

I remember when I first started blogging I worried that there would not be enough things to talk about in a day. That maybe there would not be enough photographs to take. Words to write.

I don’t worry about that anymore.

I discovered that when we drill down into our lives there is plenty to talk about – other than the weather of course. Which has turned and is raining – just as two families are due. Of course.

My quiet time is over today. The moment I send this post I will begin in the kitchen. My other safe space. This blog here (my original and never to be given up blog) is my first safe space.

My walk yesterday evening with Alan Henry and his dog Moose was sublime.

Let’s hope that the rain lifts before the two families coming out to lunch arrive. So we can have beach time.

And I am not going to dwell. I will ignore all these other problems and just enjoy all these myriad moments filled with beauty to see and clever words to write.

Have a gorgeous day.

Celi.

A blog post from the new site did go out but with too many notifications accompanying every action so I am closing that all down for the meantime. We will stay here until it is totally sorted out or thrown out.

  1. Very wise decision, Celi. I kept worrying that you were making your long-anticipated visit with family and friends and The Beach just further stress and nobody needs that. Now, relax, let it unfold and enjoy!

  2. Those photos are very peace-inducing. All that sunlight and emptiness and clean air pouring in through the eyes and ears and nose, and washing the busy mind clean. Go and hold forth in the kitchen (and maybe take us some photos to drool over?), and be at peace.

  3. Amazing pics of the reflections on the sand and of Alan Henry and Moose with their shadows on the sand. Very beautiful!!!

  4. Wonderful photos. Looks so calm. It’s really windy here.
Beach, garden, kitchen, blog… my happy places. I’m making plans for our winter beach getaway in the caravan! With one eye on the weather. Most importantly blocked a week out in the diary between school holidays and commitments.
All will be well with the new site. Alternatively I noted WordPress are offer a third discount off business plans for the first year with full back up capability (the main attraction for me as my media files are too large to back up), happiness engineer support and other stuff. I’ve been thinking about it but my blog is not a business.

  5. That is a stunning beach!
BTW I did get a notification about a new post. If it matters, the email comes from Cecilia Gunther, but the email address says “duanefor hire”.
    It’s getting there! 😉

  6. Beautiful pictures, peaceful and relaxing. Live for the moment, everything else will eventually slot into place and if not we have what we have.

  7. So lovely. Unimaginable beauty still exists. Thank you for sharing these moments. I love them. And Moose too.

  8. I like beach photos; adding a dog or person makes them better.
I often think I will run out of blogging material and stop. This never happens as life happens.
