A man. A Border Collie. A Blue Heeler

On the beach. Himatangi Beach.

A man and his dogs. The pooches are in charge.

No leashes. All freedom. And leaving behind only paw prints.

man and two dogs on the beach

Always with the beach. We have four more days here. Yesterday we saw a real heeler and a long haired collie and they were both young and energetic. These dogs were happy on the beach trying to get their man to throw the stick that they kept laying at his feet.

I miss my dogs.

beach art

The beach art has changed again. Like I said yesterday. Every day the beach brings us different art. Yesterday there were lots of pine cones, dead fish and big animal bones.

dark clouds over the beach

Not so many shells yesterday. It is going to be interesting to see what the beach brings today..

It is windy. Maybe even a bit stormy. No swimming.

Today at TKG.

Go Here to read what I wrote yesterday in TKG. I have let go of the idea of posting from there each day. I am going to stay HERE for daily posting as usual and use TKG solely for my discussions on sustainable living and consults and workshops. All that important stuff.

The blog portion has too many errors in its distribution – and I don’t have the knowledge to fix it all right now. Duane has bowed out but he did an awesome job getting us this far.

So I will continue to provide you with a link to TKG when I post there. But there will be no notifications when I post. That is fine!

If there is one thing I know I can do well; it is adapt. You are good at that too I think. We need to be able to adapt, to survive with our mental health intact.

I will work on the newsletter next week. Fingers crossed. The Sustainable Home newsletter was my objective all along after all. Having a space dedicated to navigating the changes ahead is my goal. Duane assured me that the newsletter is all set up and all of you who subscribed to that are in the queue so – I have high hopes.

Take care. Talk soon.

  1. Oh, I too thought of Boo Nanny and Ton Ton right away, especially the collie with the stick on the beach! Clearly people enjoy their freedom in NZ if they are keen to strip down for their rinse off 🙂

So happy that you have taken a step back to simply enjoy this vacation and put aside the issues with TKG right now.

  2. The dogs are wonderful. When I’m away from my dogs, I constantly make doggie friends wherever I go. My dogs would love that beach. Enjoy your stressfree time away. Techy problems can wait.
