  1. I’m on my way back to the states from Costa Rica and looking forward to home, though it was hard to leave such a wonderful place. it looks so beautiful where you are

  2. I love the shells soooo much! I’d dearly love to visit NZ and Australia someday and spend the majority of my time beachcombing! If I ever do, I’ll have to ask you for advice on the best beaches to visit!

  3. Oh, to be by the sea! I’m laid up with Covid so these photos gave me a breath of fresh air. Could almost smell the salty tang of the ocean. Such joy in the dogs’ delight of bounding along the beach, that second photo is a wonderful capture.

Safe travels to Melbourne. I hope Auckland Airport has some pleasant places to walk and wait.

    • Oh no! That bloody covid! I w we m w we sorry. I hope you feel better soon. As soon as I finish my messages I am off in search of food. I hope there is a restaurant of sone kind.

Last time I came through here the airport was just opening post covid and nothing was open!

  4. Ahh I love to walk the beaches!! And I always have to pick some really interesting sea shells to bring back home with me!! Love seeing the doggies have so much fun!!!

  5. As usual, some really great photos…I love to see dogs enjoying themselves on a beach, and those shells look so pretty. I hope your flight is on time x

  6. A single scallop shell, the sign of a pilgrim (usually on the Comina de Santiago). You’re on your own pilgrimage to visit family – always a wonderful thing. Enjoy the remainder of your trip and safe travels.

  7. Dogs make everything better, especially walking along an empty beach.Years ago, my husband was photographing a golf event in Michigan. When he was finished, we took a walk along a stretch of beach–with big big old beach houses–at sunset. I had no idea people lived like this: I was green with envy because a couple of people were playing with their dogs–throwing a stick, you know. The weather, the setting sun, the water, I will never forget it.
