And inch of snow and a finished podcast with spotty internet. All day the clouds lay above us heavy with snow.
Not bad for a Sunday!

If you are leading a lost animal back to the barn you don’t shine the torch into the animals face. You shine the torch where you want the animal to step. You shine it ahead.
Tima erupted up onto the verandah last night long after dark. “ Can I come into your kitchen?”
I took her back to the barn shining the light where her feet would go, like those old fashioned movie theatre attendants when you came in late. Leading but shining the light back onto the floor where you will step.

Sunday Podcast is up on SubStack. I should have called it – Don’t Shine That Light in My Face.

But I always think of great subject headings a day late.
Mr Flowers spent all day in the barn yesterday. I guess he does not like snow.

Quacker on the other hand just flew over the top of the snow – landing with a screech of brakes and flying icy powder.

She blends in beautifully with the landscape in its present rendition.

Clouds hover above us like bruised eyes.
Quite cold over the next two days. I feel I am nursing the white chickens through their last week. They are doing very well considering but I look forward to the weather going back up above freezing in a few days.
Mondays are MiL doctor days – always busy.
Take care
Celi

That is just enough snow for me. More is fine if I never have to drive but I’m very happy with just a bit each day, a melt and then a bit more.
It was very nice of Jude and FreeBee to welcome Mr. Flowers into their bedroom although they’re looking at him wondering why he didn’t bring dinner along with.
They are saying: are you delivery bird? Where are the packages?
Jude was probably looking for a new phone… 😉
Ha ha, Tima wants to sit by the fire, on beds like the dogs!
On Beds Like Dogs! There is a song in that!
She must be so jealous of Boo and Ton Ton!
Sensible Mr Flowers, l would rather be in the barn with Jude and Freebee than outside in the snow. Perhaps he finds the cold snow on his poor old foot hard to deal with.
Not even the chickens came out yesterday – they hate snow.
Brat and I sat and watched the snow on and off yesterday. He finally decided that since the squirrels were staying in their dreys he’d take a nap on his blanket on my bed. I settled with a nice hot mug of coffee and read some history. Sunnym windy and cold here today.
Sounds like a perfectly lovely day.
Wonderful images Celi .. I always shine the torch to show the way. Who is in the lovely black and white pics?
That is my son and I – years ago though
Super image 😊
