Getting the Bums Rush

This picture is not exactly in line with the saying: Bums Rush (Bums rush means to be ejected forcefully from a space – maybe by the fart of a pig!) but FreeBee made me think of it and you know how my subject headings are! What I think of first is what it’s going to be.

FreeBee is such a talkative soul!

And has a captive audience. All the barn birds are staying in the barn today because it’s windy and snowy, but only for the day, tomorrow it will be cleared up again and start another warm up for the holidays.

For your reading pleasure I have published another Christmas story in my newsletter: Letters to my Mother from The Kitchen’s Garden.

Read it Here.

Christmas Eve in the Convent. The Home for Wayward Girls. Sister Delphina was an old old nun who was my angel in that place. You’ll see.

I have one more Christmas story to write. And will begin it today. Then publish it next Sunday.

Watch out for your TKG TAKE TEN too! Landing in an inbox near you.

Have a lovely day!

  1. I think FreeBee may be interested in writing a blog himself given how he always has so much important stuff to say! I read Christmas #2 last night and there is so much packed in there, so many emotions and questions and pain and caring and love and triumph. It was an astonishing piece C and fully written from the heart of a woman who has lived a life many of us cannot imagine. I thought of my own 1978- last year of high school and all the typical angst of that age. You were living a lifetime of experiences while I was going to prom and looking to whatever came next.

  2. You made me remember something that’s been tucked away since I was a child at my grandparents’ place and someone was watching a VERY old black & white (heck, it may have even been a Silent Movie?! Charlie Chaplin in ‘The Tramp??)) where a hobo got tossed out in the street for some reason or another… Don’t remember the specifics, only that it seemed SO mean to me:/) Anyway, when you said “the bum’s rush”, that’s what instantly came to mind.
