And off Again

Today I drive my guests back up to the Hyatt where Allan, who was the motion captor actor, for Godzilla is one of the guests at G Fest for the next three days, another two hours either way.

And no. We are not buying a checkered shorts suit! Good lord!

A group of fans tracked Allan down to our place yesterday and popped in (invited) in the evening for a drink and a walk around the farm. They stood in the driveway for ages with Allan for pictures and chat about the Godzilla films.

So sweet that my old student has fans! His biggest fan is his son, of course!

Chicago was great!

Now the sun is rising and chores call.

It rained again in the night and the sunrise is a blush of pink and yellow in the cleaned sky. But the flies and the bugs are out in force.

Here is a pic from the Guinea Hog farmer. We pick up our new babies in 10 days!

Time for chores!

  1. The farm pic is beautiful, it looks very soft almost like a painting. For a minute I thought oh no strangers showing up at the farm! It sounded creepy but then I saw they were invited, very exciting. It’s nice for an actor who is behind the scenes to get recognition and a bit of celebration.

  2. the farm looks lovely, and if only you could get godzilla’s energy to work on the farm, though it seems you do. glad chicago was fun

  3. That is a lot of driving for the farmer! What fun guests for a farmy visit and I think a proud Celi for her students success.

  4. Good to know about the checked shorts/suit! We get the Wall Street Journal and in the Sat/Sun editions there are often articles about the NEWEST/CUTTING EDGE designers and their latest offerings in fashions for men. It makes one wonder about common sense in general. Hopefully most sartorially oriented young men would take one look at that outfit and say, “Nope, not for me!”

Loved the pic of the sunrise and as someone above said it does look like a perfectly executed watercolor framed by the overarching trees above the pond.

  5. For some reason WP logged me out. I wrote a comment but I’m not sure it went through. I can’t imagine anyone in that suit! I’m not the greatest dresser, so perhaps I simply don’t appreciate “fashion.” Beautiful photos and adorable piglets!

  6. I’m looking forward to ‘meeting’ your new Guinea hogs. They’re supposed to be quieter, calmer and less aggressive than some pig breeds. Very cute piglets, too.
