    Yesterday cleared into a beautiful calm sunny day. And we got everything done from that days list. The asparagus is all mulched, the duck house has two new windows covered in strong screen, I collected all the feeds and we stowed them in the shed out of the coming rain.

    Yesterday Molly took offense to me cleaning her floor. I have done this every day for all her confinement’s but it is never good to be complacent around a newly farrowed sow. I ended up with stitches from a pretty bad bite to the left hand.

    Molly had eight live babies yesterday evening and into the night. It was not a warm night, and I found it hard to keep them warmed up so it was a long night.

    Still no sign of babies from Molly. Nine eggs from the ducks. Over twenty four eggs daily from the chickens. The weather is, at last, warming up a little. And oh the mud.
