With no respect for cold.

My CameraMasquerades

As a reluctant poet

With no respect for cold.

I am a little late this morning because I thought we could watch the sunrise together. So I fed the animals early and had the camera out for sunrise.  In the end I could not even feel my finger press the button to release the shutter.  As you can see we had a wee bit of snow last night, then wind, so the world is crunchy with fresh frozen icy snow.  Now it is time for my coffee and hot refried mashed potatoes, with a fresh egg for  breakfast.

Good morning everyone!

  1. Brrrr! I just shivered (yes, even in NZ-summer-air) as I read your post! Put warm mittens on your camera and also on your fingers, please.

(Even though I still enjoyed sharing this sunrise with you Celi!) x

    • Oh that lovely NZ summer air! (sigh) with all the windows open! (another sigh). What a sweet idea to put a mitten on the camera, like a little dog (laughter) morning Mel! c

  2. Well, it should have been good morning.. perhaps a belated Good Morning will do? c, your photos become more and more professional looking every day. I looked closely, were those little wee birds in the second photo? My goodness that is just the best photo yet, in my humble opinion. (but only if I’d have to choose one;) I hope you found yourself a nice sweater and bundled up for your morning coffee!

  3. I LOVE these photos. I don’t know what it is, but wonderfully taken photos of ice, always remind me of beautiful glass sculptures. These are just stunning. But I am happy I’m not outside experiencing the cold though lol
