I started writing these pages in July
so I am just thrilled to bits by your response. And would like to say thank you for getting me this far.
Now, as you know, I am going to produce a collection of POSTCARDS from your suggestions on this page, tomorrows page, or facebook or email.
All countries are welcome to enter so do not be shy. I will start collating this coming Saturday so you have a few days. I shall draw the winners on Sunday. And let you know on Monday.
The Matriarch and Our John have each offered to sponsor a winner too. So I shall be giving away THREE sets of postcards.
I think there was conspiracy when you chose Postcards. They will be printed as a run, so there will be a small number of packages left over.
I will put my thinking cap on and work out how to sell a few of this limited edition to those people who express their interest. Time enough for that though.
Here are a few of my suggestions for your consideration and I am SO looking forward to yours. We all have different, individual, special eyes. So I need your choices to round the work out.
Oh no, I just realised that there is no Daisy or Mama here or TonTon for that matter. oops. I bet you will have something to say about that. I shall pop a few of your suggestions up tomorrow if their dimensions are such that they can be turned into successful postcards.
Your ideas can be as vague or as specific as you like. We are all most delightfully busy! All comments from this post or tomorrow’s go into the draw for a package. Each package will have Eight Postcards, with doubles. So there will Sixteen Postcards in all.
We had a little dusting of snow in the night. Some added crunch to our footsteps! The whole house smells like chicken soup as I have had a pot of chicken stock sitting on the woodstove all night!
What an exciting day! When I started writing this, in the dark, early this morning, the kitchen’s garden had 40,241 HITS! You are so cool.
Good morning!!

Congratulations! Your numbers come as no surprise given your quality storytelling abilities and your creative and most excellent photos.
I started looking back through your posts and then realized choosing favorites would be nearly impossible. But I am partial to Daisy and these two photos: “daisy-enciente” posted on January 21 and “daisy 1” posted on January 8. I also like “thing 1” from the 8th. Really, there are so many wonderful images that any you choose are bound to appeal to fans of your creativity.
My suggestion would be a mix of landscape, nature, farm animals and buildings. Good luck. You have a challenging task ahead of you. I find it’s often difficult to view one’s own work objectively.
A mixture is a good idea, I had not thought of adding a barn shot, i will look about! And YES i need other eyes, it is a task that needs sharing.. thank you audrey.. c
the cow and the car for me
… your cow, it’s rust colored. it brings the shot together.
Good suggestion Jean, i shall apply the dimensions and see if it will reduce to a 6×4.. I love that one too!

Congratulations on so many hits…not that I´m surprised! Well, I´m voting any doggy or chicky photos for a start, but Sheep and Cows plus the big green truck…..No, sorry can´t decide, can´t you do a super mammoth bundle?!
Morning Tanya, each image has to be properly printed as a run of 50 (the smallest run I can find). Wouldn’t it be great to do a bundle, but I want good heavy postcards! I don’t want those flimsy cheap ones. So Less is Best. And you are right I need more animals. c!
Cecilia, your photo of the bee really pops! The color and composition are perfect. After that it’s the frog and the green truck. Love them! ~ Lynda
Thank you Lynda! c
Congratulations on your 40,000 hits! It would be impossible for me to pick just ONE of your photos!! With this post I think the bee with the marbles and the misty truck are my favorites…but then, there’s all of your other posts…too hard to choose! 🙂
We will work it out..your input is always helpful.. have a great day April c
Hi C congratulations on 40,000 hits All your images are lovely. And I agree with you about the missing images – one of Daisy would be nice.
I will get busy on finding one this morning! c
The frog, the bee and the butterfly are my favourites of this lot, but awaiting dogs and cockerels and Daisy with bated breath!
Congratulations on the milestone – roll on 50K I am a kick in the pants from 1000 posts. What do you suggest as a celebration?
A thousand posts? WOW.. champers for sure! I am only at 196!! i have a long way to go.. and thanks for the votes! c
But my posts are tiny compared with yours, sometimes nothing but a haiku. 196 of yours = 2000 of mine!
Oh I sure many would disagree. Less is harder and has punch! This is why the haiuku is such a strong concept! And hard work.. c
Ooooh yes, the bee! But what about the frog? And Hairy MacLairy just for his fab hair-do! And just to upset the applecart, how about ‘Big Spider’ from August or ‘Daisy and her Cat’ from September? And then I couldn’t find that one with the glass of wine/beer with those wonderful reflections! Forget the postcards, I think you need to get a book of your work published – ‘Photos on the Farmy’ maybe?
Christine
oh well done christine, esp daisy and her cat I had forgotton that one! I shall go over now and apply the equation! c
I can’t choose just one. Whaaaaaah! So here are my favourites:
coldfeet-3 and 4, barn-in-snow4, daisy-one, christmasevedog, tonton, dawn-to-dusk-daisy-again
Wonderful List Marilyn, I have written them down to check! Thank you.. c
Congratulations, Celi, over 40,000 hits…that’s wonderful! But who wouldn’t want to visit you once they know about you, I ask? I love the truck shot, the corn, the bee, the butterfly all of the above really. One of my absolute faves is Moaning Mia’s Moostache and also remember the backlit shot of Daisy in the doorway of the barn, but can’t remember which post that was. Any shot of TonTon where you can see his eyes would be great, and I like the one legged pirate chicken shot, too. In fact, you have so many great shots you need to do categories: animals, landscape, birds and bees, architecture, etc. You really have a fantastic eye and so much great material! 🙂
I had forgotton about backlit dDisy too, i know exactly which one you mean. and Moaning mia is such a funny shot! Thank you betsy!
Meant to include the cat shot as a fave, too (natch)….just too many to choose from!
Well Good Morning! Congratulations Ceci! The bee is b-eautiful! What a shot! Must have Ton Ton, no? And Rooster (maybe with his first wife?) And to my mind, there’s nothing more mood-evokingly lovely than the green truck in freezing fog. (I know I repeat myself, but I can’t help it. I adore that photo!) Congratulations on reaching another milestone – but mostly on doing such an amazingly beautiful job of giving those of us who can’t live on a farm the enormous pleasure of waking up to yours! A deep bow of thanks.
So far truck in fog is doing very well.. I shall check rooster and wife, that might be just right!! thank you spree, and you are most welcome! thank YOU! c
Congratulations 😉
Thanks Mad! Looks like you sent us a little of your snow!! c
How could I possibly pick when I’m so in awe of each and every photo you take. Truly, from black and white to these colorful pics, the butterfly, bees and frog – I just love them all. Your farmy animals touch my heart. I’m all about surprises so I could never pick. Congrats to you Cecilia and I’m here to see many, many more posts from you!!
Lovely, surprises are good too! You are still in the draw though!! c
What a marvelous milestone..congratulations! My favorite is kitty in sunlight.
Enjoy your day Celi.
That is one of my favs too, there is so much movement in that shot! c
Congratulations! That’s quite a milestone.
This collection of images is beautiful. 🙂
It is fun finding them all again! c
