Good morning.
In a few hours (it is up now)we will be on at Old World Garden Farms. So far this morning they have an interesting article on compost! Well, we all know how Daisy and I feel about our compost! Our farmy post will go up about 9am. (Later: It is up so just click on the above link!)
I shall come back after doing the mornings work and I will collect the link for you and pop it into this message. Jim and Mary said they post at 9am, which put me in a quandary as there are a number of you who are early birds like me, time zones being what they are, and after the rumbles of mild panic last time I did not post at dawn, I decided that today I will pop in twice and amend this message later in the morning with the link. Hope some of that makes sense.
If you are new to the pages this wee article is like an introduction to the farmy, things will probably make much more sense to you after reading it. I did enjoy writing it and am very grateful to Jim and Mary for coming up with such a great offer. Hopefully there will be many more little farms on their pages in the future for us all to discover and learn from.
The Tentative GOOD NEWS is that Mama is showing signs of being closer to finally producing her lambies. Her udder is starting to fill. Now don’t get excited yet.. she has a wee ways to go, maybe as much as three weeks, but I feel heartened. We are coming into the home stretch. Fingers crossed all goes well. So the batteries in the torch have been changed, her bag is packed and she will be checked more frequently. Like now! I will pop back in later with that link. Or look below, depending on Your time zone it may already be there!
Later: The Story has been posted!!
Good morning!

Morning Ronnie.. c
A strange title came up when I hovered over the photo of those springlike shoots: “Bread and Butter Pudding”. Mama, your life will soon be changed for ever.
You may enjoy a sheepish poem on my blog today: http://vivinfrance.wordpress.com/2012/03/04/a-sheepish-wordle/

Morning Misky! c
I had no clue about when you first met your John. What a back story, eh?
John is a very tenacious fellow.. (laughter) c
Good morning, and thanks for stopping by. Those are wonderful photos, by the way.
I really, really enjoyed reading your story over at Old World Garden Farms, Celi, and it was interesting to hear more about how you and John got together and your decision to bring the farm back. Truly, it makes me want to start casting my eye about for old barns and a spot of land to work….someday, perhaps, I can make this happen. Meanwhile, I get to learn and live vicariously through your farmy, thank you for that! So happy Mama is on the home stretch. Good morning!
Morning, C! I love reading about everything you have managed to accomplish already this morning 🙂 And congratulations on the story, it was wonderful to read.
Afternoon Celi, the photo of the shoots emerging is a joy to see, and yes I know I’m biaised! Off for my sunday afternoon reading …..
Hey, Celi! Yay, Mama! See ya in your temporary digs …
What a great piece! I thoroughly enjoyed your guest spot and even learned a little bit more about you both. Met at 17? Who’d-a-thunk? 🙂
thank you john, maybe i will write that story for you guys sometime! c
Aw! Lambies in time for spring!
I do hope so.. c
Wow. I just read your piece on “The Farm”. blog I must admit to being a little teary-eyed. SO INSPIRING. I grew up in the Willamette Valley – Corvallis, Oregon, surrounded by beautiful, fertile farmland. It’s hard for me to eat sweetcorn in the summer, because it will never compare to the corn we bought fresh out of the fields… There were old barns falling down all around me. Now I live in the big city with a little garden…I love Seattle, but it doesn’t feel right…
You can do lots with your little garden, but I know what you mean about the barns they are like grand old houses, left to rot! so sad.. c
Oh Dog! I look forward to seeing them babies!
That will an exciting post that one!.. c
