On a car. He has a thing about old cars. So when a great weariness descends upon him…
.. he looks for a car with a nice flat boot (trunk) to lie upon.
The tire was nicely placed to rest his wee headie and serve as a wind break.
I am training the pigs to come when they are called (eventually, with supervision and an electric fence, they will be allowed out into a field) so I closed some gates and let them out into the barn, repeatedly calling them back to their own pen for a treat. So they could practice coming back IN. They came every time. Though evidently an onion is not a treat! They ran round and round like the hellions they are and every now and then would throw themselves into the straw for a roll about. Then as though by secret command, they would both freeze, listen intently to some inner whisper, then off they would go again. A pig at full gallop is impressive. How they don’t trip in those heels I have no idea!
Oh, and I asked the breeder about those ears and he clips the ears in place of tags. So each clip in their ear makes up some kind of code about age, breed and lineage, stuff like that. If pigs don’t have enough to do they will chew on each other so I can see a bright handy tag in an ear being a liability.
I watered the strawberries today and look what I found.
Almost time to buy some rum! Strawberry Daiquiri time is approaching!
Good morning. The days are moving along fast and the weeds are growing even faster. I pick three buckets of weeds a day for the hen house chickens and two buckets a day for the pigs so I guess it is time to get out there and start harvesting breakfast!
Have a lovely day.

Good morning, C – I’ve got plenty of weeds to harvest here, if you want to stop by…
I will grab my driver and tell him to attach a trailer to the time machine, put the kettle on!! c
Strawberry! Mmm. A taste of summer with cream. Your pigs are adorable and that peacock looks like he knows how to get the best out of life. Funny lil critters. 🙂
There are so many surprises just around the corners! c
The car trunk radiates the suns rays and is a warm place to rest. Smart Kupa learned that early on in his career of nap-taking.
Aren’t animals clever? They, unlike humans, recognize when it’s time to chuck it all and take a break from their chores. (What exactly are Kupa’s chores?)
apparently his main job is to keep roosters away from his hens!! who knew! c
It’s midday and I now want a strawberry Daiquiri – ours are still in the flowering stage. (the strawberrie not the Daiquiri ) …..
I think midday is a perfect time of day for a daiquiri! c
Well maybe a lemon then ……
Beautiful sunrise this morning so I grabbed my camera and actually did a morning post…which made me think of you, so I linked you in.
Good morning 🙂
I popped over and your sunrise is indeed beautiful, in fact the view from your porch must have you sitting on the step with a cup of tea often! c
I love pigs! They are very smart animals.
Smart and naughty! morning Debra.. c
Those ears really look quite decorative, but i kept thinking “ouch” when I looked at them. At least they don’t need nose rings!
That strawberry sure is a welcome sight! If the strawberries are here, can Summer be far behing? I’m off to the farmers market and hope I can get there before for showers hit. Have a great day, Celi.
I think our strawberries have decided to remain just flowers this year – we don’t see enough sun. Those piggy ears are rather fetching. They could start a fashion.
Morning C,

The pigs are so cute! Nice strawberrry.
Now strawberry daquiris sound like a fabulous idea!!! Is that subliminal messaging taking hold??? 🙂
That is one mischievious looking pig! I used to love watching our pigs run and chase each other making their excited ‘barking’ sound, dust flyinmg everywhere once they’d devoured all vegetation!
Christine
Funny pigs think they are greyhounds! 🙂
The Fort Knox cage was still in one of the pens and they ran around and around it for quite some time.. I spent way too much time leaning in the barn door watching them yesterday!! morning jess! c
Don’t tell TonTon that pigs are smart – he’ll get jealous 😉
OK Mums the word Mad! Morning Mad! c
Would you look at that perfect strawberry!
I knew there was logic behind the piggies ear clippings, thanks for finding out.
Have a splendid day.
🙂 Mandy
