No horsies today, all lost and gone away

The horses were all booked out,  so we postponed and went for another punishing walk..

as high as we could bear, which was not very much higher in the scheme of things, to a little reservoir lake.

Then we had a picnic with crostini and olive tapanade and pan fried local steak cut into paper thin slices washed down with local beer.  (I am so glad we rented a room with a kitchen.)

Today the horses are booked, the ride to the ranch is arranged  and the camera is all charged up.

Not this ride though. The big black dog is not giving up his seat for anyone.

Good morning. Have a lovely day.

    • everyone seems fine, the worst the dogs have done is tear up a paper towel and the pigs are eating everything green that they are offered, i am dying to let them out on the grass when I get home! Two more days and I will be back at the helm! I am ready to get back to work too!! c

  1. What a marvellous adventure you’re having. Isn’t it ironic somehow that you come closer to me and I move to the other side of the world. Of course you are only in the “near west” lol, but the Rockies are so spectacular, aren’t they? Makes me all homesick. Quick…got to find me a castle or quaint church to visit. Oh well, the one good thing is pretty soon, when I get out of this bubbly-headed jet lag, I’ll be one of the first to read your farmy updates! Keep taking photos of those fantastic mountains, I bet when you get home you’ll be glad you did. 🙂
