Sometimes we don’t need many words. Sometimes we need the words of the masters.
Because we are surrounded in beauty.
“Think of all the beauty still left around you and be happy.”
― Anne Frank
“Taking pictures is savoring life intensely, every hundredth of a second.”
― Marc Riboud
“Everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it.”
― Confucius
“There is no exquisite beauty… without some strangeness in the proportion.”
― Edgar Allan Poe
“Beauty is not caused. It is.”
― Emily Dickinson
“Dwell on the beauty of life. Watch the stars, and see yourself running with them.”
― Marcus Aurelius, Meditations
“Here is the world. Beautiful and terrible things will happen. Don’t be afraid.”
― Frederick Buechner
“Summer afternoon—summer afternoon; to me those have always been the two most beautiful words in the English language.”
― Henry James
“There are no bad pictures; that’s just how your face looks sometimes.”
“As if you were on fire from within.
The moon lives in the lining of your skin.”
― Pablo Neruda
Neruda is my favourite poet.
One more for luck:
“No spring nor summer beauty hath such grace as I have seen in one autumnal face.”
― John Donne
I know you all see beauty every day in the smallest and most unusual places. That’s why you, The Fellowship, are beautiful. Even though we live in all corners of this spinning, reluctant, unpredictable globe, though a globe has no corners, and we can predict the sunrise. And sometimes people are mean and we don’t understand why, even so, we have found each other. Let the mean people hear their own words echo in our silence, we shall not join them.
Welcome to all the new members of The Fellowship of the Farmy. Remember that if you like an image you are welcome to steal it. If you like a comment you are welcome to join in anywhere. If you like a thread you are welcome to pull on it. And if you like my words you are welcome to share them. Kindness is our greatest strength. Apply the kindness.
Have a lovely day.

I’m running so far behind today. Where most are saying what a lovely way to start their day, I’m thinking this is the way all days should end. Either way, Celi, it was a wonderful post. Does Boo ever look bad in a photo? The camera sure is his friend. 🙂
Beautiful, beautiful photos and quotations! I particularly like the Lincoln quote. And Pablo Neruda of course….love Neruda! I have a book of his poetry with each poem in Spanish and in English. I discovered your blog from Misc. Maggie and I’m so glad. I look forward to seeing more of your lovely photos. 🙂
That was a bit like “too many cooks”. I think I prefer your words.
The beauty of these thoughts of yours and your meditations on others’–this is what has brought the first blush of beauty to my day. Once again I thank you.

Lovely photos and the perfect quotes to complement them.
What a perfect shot of the piglets, and of you. Neruda is my favorite poet, too.
I absolutely love your happy beautiful blog and learing about your wonderful farm !! Thank you so much for sharing with us !!
You got your shots in that golden light that warms the heart of the farmy, even with a wee bit of fog mixed in. It looks so peaceful and quiet. Gallivanting piggies, oh my!
You certainly have a wonderful eye for capturing the beauty on your farm. Such a lovely post.
C. I looked back to see if my comment came through to this most lovely, post of yours (because I was away) and I do not see it…I just wanted to say that you certaintly don’t have too look very far to find beauty everyday…you can just step out your door and we are all so thank-ful that you share it with us.
And even if I hadn’t seen that photo of you, I knew you were beautiful…inside and out!!
