How a dog breaks the shell of an egg

Daisy is  a tall cow. all-alone-004

Every day Boo gets an egg straight from the chook house.  He will throw it up into the air so it will break when it falls and I tried to get this shot. Often it takes three or four throws.

But my attention wandered for an instant and he was up and on the drive before I knew it, throwing the egg over there to break it. They all love their egg a day.

It is still cloudy and misty at night so I have not been able to see any stars since I started the Night Sky challenge. all-alone-028

But the sunsets are lovely.

I have more visitors coming tonight. So I will not be posting tomorrow, unless something exciting happens.  You never know. Something exciting might happen?

Have a lovely day.

  1. Love that Ewok looking pup you’re bbsitting! Chloe sent me a photo on FB of a creature like that in full joy-jumping-into-leaves mode and titled it, “errmmaaageerd! Lerves!!” I couldn’t stop laughing. 🙂 Here, I stuck it on your FB so you can see. Have a lovely, lovely weekend with friends and soap making and make some delicious soap.

  2. Boo is so cute! I love how he cracks his egg! So funny! Miss my girl! They add so much to our lives… 🙂
The little one seems to be enjoying farm life! He may not want to leave! LOL
Lovely sunset…pretty lavender, pinks and yellow! All is well on the farm…looks peaceful and restful. Enjoy your guests!
Here it is gloomy, gray, chilly, and rainy. Brrrrr…..fireplace is lit and that really cheers up the place! Next week we will enjoy a few nice days in the 70s and then more rain and cooler temps.. Took out my Halloween decorations and decorated the house! Makes me feel comfy cozy on a gloomy day. Have to see what’s on Netflix later on after the football game. Now what to munch on is the plan!!! LOL
Have a great Saturday Ceci! Everyone else who pops in too! 😀

  3. Your evening photos are so evocative and Boo ‘attacking’ his favourite morsel of the day is worth a huge smiley! As all the animals on the farmy do have names, may we know what The Matriarch’s pup is called so we can yell at yours to wait for the ‘little one’! Oh, and have a wonderful day with your visitors . . .

      • 🙂 ! I like you, Joey! I once had a longhaired dachsie [Sir Tobias Slurp, if you please: he allowed us to call him Toby!!] who very successfully bossed all the animals and us too 🙂 !

  4. Dogs do love eggs, and I am loving your photo sequence with Boo and his egg! When I first got chickens, and they began laying, I brought in a basketful of the treasures and set it on the floor in the kitchen. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Buddy go over and ever so quietly sneak one out of the basket. I couldn’t believe how gingerly he carried that egg as he snuck down the hall to hide it from me. I had to make him give it back, because we don’t like dogs who sneak things from the kitchen. However, anytime I drop an egg he is called for “CLEANUP on ISLE NINE” and he magically makes it disappear, and “shines the floor” for me too. 😉

  5. Great learning about Boo and his egg. I’ve never given one to Max and you’ve got me wondering what he’d do with it. He did run around with a 75 watt light bulb in his mouth for a bit. That was a frightening chase! Hope you’re enjoying your company and that the rain hasn’t interfered with your plans. 🙂
