We don’t see Lulu often. But she is always there. Watching. Just like us. Yesterdays comments were so refreshing. You are all wonderful. Here we were (well I was) thinking that our contentment in solitude was in fact ‘Anti Social’ when in fact we are all good and fine and normal little Fellowship hermits in the making. And to be social (when we have to be) we NEED to have that base of Solid Simple Self. We are OK!!
There are errors in the exposure of this shot of Pania and Tui (below) the beautiful peahens who hang out with filthy pigs. But I like it anyway. Perfection is not mandatory in the Fellowship. Thank God.
The Duke Of Kupa’s tail is growing.
Boo took offence (and the gate) to the cabinet makers new assistant and had to go back to the chain for the afternoon. He gets treats while he is on the chain and has plenty of company but deep down he does not take it well.
Heavy frost this morning. A harbinger.
I made a batch of Russian Fudge to take to the Old Codger yesterday. It was not my best effort but he very kindly offered to eat it out of the pan with a spoon. He is good like that.
So I loaded up the dogs and off we went for our visit.
The fields have been cleaned and turned over. All is still again.
Then home again to make soap.
Emily I made two batches of soap yesterday, but ( and I will know for sure tomorrow) I think my beginners luck just ran out. However I know exactly the errors I made. But oh yes, I have done the zap test! I am still practising.
I hope you all have a lovely day.

Wonderful photos, as always. Your world is full of beautiful and interesting things!
That road has a very Bonnie and Clyde feel to me. I often take pictures of the road down which I’m driving …it gives a real sense of place.
I said to Claire yesterday (or the day before?) that Real beats Perfect, hands down. 🙂
I love the good-enough theme of this post! Sometimes we don’t have to be great, just good enough. And eventually greatness will come out of its own. xo
Funny how we have off days . Hope the rest of your day was a happy one dear Celi.
🙂 Mandy xo
We had frost like that this morning. The sun is now shining at the fron of my house, yet the back feels like I left the freezer open!
Lovely photos and I would eat that fudge in a minute. Boo does look a little blue enchained.
So love your photos… ! What is Russian fudge? Looks like our peanut butter fudge I haven’t made in years… but made so many times growing up. Sue

I did leave a post. I swear I did. And now it’s gone. I said that your photos really conveyed the chilliness of the ground, and that I enjoyed the moon photo (but I said it all a bit more eloquently) Oh well, Mercury is now direct and there is no excuse for this attempt not going through.
