Have you ever made funny faces for a baby…

But the baby does not care…

Poor BooBoo.

No more laughing, it hurts to laugh. But every time I look at that shot this morning I laugh out loud.

Then look what Baby Marmalade did next …

Went to sleep in my sewing basket.. Poor BooBoo… Poor Sewing.

And as if our grey day yesterday was not grey enough, the man across the road is ploughing all the golden under, my landscape sinks into the sleepy sepia now. twon-004

I spent a good part of yesterday back on the couch. Seeing to Kupa up in the loft has taken its toll.  I will let him out today. I can not climb that ladder more than once more. He can take the second part of the worm program with the great unwashed and very common fowl.

We have two major pens and the chook house to clean out before the freeze and here I am still incapacitated.  (Deeply frustrating) And the temps are due to plummet by Friday. It may be that the chooks will just get a couple of new bales of straw to lay on top of the debris. It is more important to get the hospital wing pen ready for Mama.  Then we will see how much time I have left. My special cushion has arrived and it is a perfect fit on the tractor seat.

The Daily View is still missing it’s tree house.  The barn is shut back up as it was due to rain last night.  Soon it will be shut up for the winter. Sigh. Though, winter is not a surprise, it is not like I did not know it was coming.

I hope you all have a lovely day.

Your friend in frustration,

  1. You can always get back to the sewing after naptime. I used to have a cat who would sleep in the bathroom sink & good luck to anyone who wanted to wash his hands – Kitty did not like her nap disrupted! That shot of Boo is priceless. He doesn’t mind if we laugh at him does he?

  2. I’m so sorry you’re still in pain. My husband is waiting for a hip replacement and I see how every move hurts. I kind of wince along…and I found myself doing that while reading. I hope your special cushion is a big help and that healing is perfect and complete, if not quick! Boo and Baby are wonderful for shaking off some of that gray, I think. Sending a very gentle hug your way…ox

  3. may be a good idea to let your peacock to detox a few days before starting a different course o medicine
    just my opinion

    • I came to the same conclusion ron, once i thought about it, I will start the next lot in a month..when you think about the cycle of the worm it makes more sense.. he has been released! and is very grateful..I am always grateful for your opinion.. c

  4. Aw, Celi. Today’s post title and photo are priceless. Boo’s clowning it up and Marmalade is transfixed by the tip of her tail. If you think this is bad, Boo, wait until Marmalade is a teenager. 🙂

  5. Ni-ni from mama ~ forgot to tell’ya the cushion was not to go on the tractor seat . . . . [Yup, rid of toothache, and most of the cash in the wallet . . . ]

  6. I’m glad you have Boo to entertain. Laughter does good, like a medicine. It’s so hard for busy folks to be slowed down by injury. Hang in there!
