While I was out doing the rounds today

Collecting left over food from the store and the pub, I even drove over to Route 66 to visit my favourite hairdresser, Sheila did her housework.  I had not realised until after I had fed everyone in the rain,  I went out in the almost dark around the side of the barn to shut her gate, I found that she had collected all the little bits of torn blanket from her bed and thrown them into the mud outside her door. She was very pleased with herself. And I left her pulling the newly sorted straw up into a new bed.

It rained almost the whole day and was sloppy, slushy, wet. Melting all the lovely snow. And because the ground is still frozen, all the water is just laid about in huge puddles.

But it was above freezing, which made the outside work downright pleasant, well, except for the cold water running down the back of my neck.

  1. What lovely atmospheric winter photos to accompany me to shuteye, the world being a funny place when one can send two lots of comments on the one day! You began mine this morning, Celi and are ending it!! Sheila ~ I like that gal more every day, not only neat but able to redecorate when a certain style no longer suits 🙂 ! Have a good day, Miss C!!

  2. A house proud Pig! There is a book in that. Glad you were able to get out and do the rounds. Take care of that surface water if the temperatures drop again. Walking or driving on a skating rink is no fun.

  3. Have a great weekend we now have your rains, on top of all of our snow but they say it will worsen as our boys meet mid field with Indy yes weather be damned it is time to play some FOOTBALL 🙂 oh and make pretty things. I want my hair done too! I remember when RTE 66 was a place to be 🙂

  4. Cold water down the back of one’s neck can certainly be something of a disincentive!
It is good to have efficient help with the housework, though! Even if it was rather self-centred.

  5. My daff bulbs have broken ground. Did you hear that?! The DAFFS ARE UP! Any sign of spring yet on the farmy? That last photo is a gem. Happy weekend, c, and hi-dee-hi to the farmy. xx
