It seems that the interwebs and my tiny machine …

… are scheming.  Most of yesterdays simple photographic offerings are gone. There are murmurings in the Desktop Depths.

Good morning. I will take a wee break today  (and maybe tomorrow) to find out what the problem is. I may have to call the Computer Man. Or possibly he will call me; he is one of the silent members of the Fellowship of the Farmy.  Yes, I know you are there my Silent Readers;  you are Members of the Fellowship too.

See you again soon. Maybe sooner than you think. I have learnt (patterns again) not to ignore the computer when it starts to hiccup. Hic’.

Your friend on the farmy

  1. Oh darn it! I can fix just about anything round here, except the pc problems. The other day I found an article about ten things you can do with a lap top which is broken including making it into a media control centre. I must say that 9 out of 10 were absolutely beyond me. Then I sent it to R and he knew exactly how to make all 10 things! 🙂 He’s a smart cookie. Hope it’s just a minor and very temporary hiccup.

  2. Good luck. Everything will be there, just buried and hard to retrieve. Very wise to call Computer Man; it’s like the signs of a stroke; act quickly and the damage will be minimised. I am rejoicing down here in Queensland: the quilt is finished! And it’s raining!

  3. It must be something in the air. I had FD look at my computer yesterday. Something has gone amiss in a section of my hard drive as well. Fortunately, I had a backup to rely on, but once again we understand we really need to get hooked up with an online backup. Isn’t it wonderful to have friends with specialized skills to rely on in times of need? We all have gifts to share, eh?

  4. Yep, just checked – Mercury is in retrograde again Feb 6 – 28th! Anything that can break will, travel plans maybe cancelled or take longer and not a good time to sign contracts of any kind during this period. Laura

  5. Those three guinea fowl in a huddle look as if they are cooking something up – a scheme, a spell, a computer fix…..Lovely photo that I really enjoyed on yet another summer’s day here in Wellington. Three in a row is a record for this summer and we have just reached that number today. The summer of cool winds thus far.
