Oh, there is so much to talk about. I try so hard to make these posts short and sweet enough to be fun to write and entertaining to read.
I wish I could tell you everything that makes my eyebrows raise, everything that makes me laugh. Everything that catches my eye. But I would not put you through it. So, how about just this one:
Aren’t they sweet. Inseparable until I put Marcel into his crate to sleep.
I thought I would reassure you that all Boo’s interactions with the lamb are supervised. He is a dog after all. And Marcel is a lamb. Although it is fun for us to point to the, sometimes almost human, attributes of our dogs. They are still dogs. One of the reasons Boo is seldom photographed with Marmalade anymore is that the cat does not tolerate rough play and steers clear of the dog. As the cat got older the dog got bolder. Often they will sleep next to each other but dogs bring a lot of weight to their play. Though Marmalade is now clever enough to keep himself up out of plays way. We humans must be responsible. Dogs are not humans. And thank you Rumpy for writing such a good article on this the other day.
Here is a rather muddled picture of the new super dooper milking machine. It will look happier when it is in the barn (in 21 days) and not loitering in the Cloakroom. It is a very sturdy model. I am well pleased. The Cloakroom where a lot of stuff sits that should not be sitting. Ah well.
Good morning. Here are Sheila and Ton coming home from a walk. Some of the snow has thawed so they were able to get out for a bit longer yesterday. Both of them hate to be cooped up. Sheila is allowed to take Ton for walks unsupervised. As long as they promise not to go outside the gates. They have to wait for a human to go down to the creek with them.
But both of them slipping and walking awkwardly on the icy snow. So no humans wanted to go out the gate and down to the Creek that is really a Ditch, yesterday.
I hope you all have a lovely day.
Your friend on the farm,

Pure sweetness. Again.
What is that lovely piece of furniture in the Cloakroom. You must show us and tell us the story for I am certain one exists.
I am in love with Marcel. Have been since the first photo I saw of him. There’s just something about that sweet expression on his face. And, my “cloakroom” where everything lands is the room we grandly call the “library.” Ha! If your average library is covered with extra stuff we don’t know what else to do with….
Thank you for this treat – the pictures are lovely (except for that big puddle). I wonder when the distrinctions between creatures were formed, and how they are sometimes blurred.
YOU ARE ALMOST THERE!!! MUD SEASON!!! YIPPEEE! Because after Mud Season is dirt, real soil, nice soft growing things earth!

Katherine went gaga over the lamb photos (though you raise an excellent point) but for my money I always love seeing TonTon walking the pig!
Boo Nanny could write a series of books titled “Look who came to stay” First two done and dusted 🙂 Fancy looking machine – looking forward to seeing it in action. Laura
I do believe Marcel is smiling. Good point about dogs. Much as I love my Lola she’s still a big dog who weighs about the same as me and when she gets in a puppy mood, things go flying. I still laugh though when the cat parks himself across the top step going upstairs and Lola stands there whimpering but won’t go past.
Thanks for making me smile today. I’m glad that Boo Nanny’s new charge is almost as large as he is. It’s great to see Ton out in the field with Sheila. Seems like we haven’t seen much of him lately. I’d love to see how the new milking machine works when the time comes. Hope today is lovely for you and your flock. 🙂
OMG. TOO CUTE. Those two sweet faces…this is the first photo of Marcel without his jacket. Ooh id love to get my hands on that wooly little body. and Boo in the morning light, just spectacular.
Evening light.
first of all Marmalade and now Marcel …what a lovely surrogate Mum Boo makes….. and the new milking machine is really a good looking piece of machinery…just wait till its in full work.. it will be super duper
That’s a few stories today. Marcel will be more than a match for Boo when he gets older.
Great miking machine and that picture of Ton Ton and Sheila looks fab 😉
The top two photos say it all. Everything is being watched over in one way or the other.
Marcel’s name is perfect !! Thanks for the smile and warm fuzzies !
Sheila is a cool pig……and Ton ..well what a great dog he is too.
A big sigh for the farmy today.
“Are you my Mother?” This is a title that let loose a floodgate of memories. It was one of the first books I read out loud to my son – this sweet story of a little bird looking for his mother. Boo and Marcel together – so delightful to see. May you have a happy week-end. XX V.
