Good morning

I am having a quiet blog day today.

I went down to the local pub last night, when I got home a great weariness descended upon me and this morning my brain hurts. abc-008

I hope you all have a lovely day. Marcel is very active, putting on weight making lots of noise but he still is not pooping properly. I will give him another enema this morning. Nasty as that sounds it can gently move along anything that has built up in there.  I have also ordered some lamb formula as my friends milk  cow is being dried up.  Though the change of feed will be gradual for him it may make a difference.

  1. Oops 🙂 Feed out and go back to bed and sleep it off, alternatively go back at lunch time for some ‘hair of the dog’ 🙂 Laura

    • Yes! I was just thinking olive oil. That’s what our vet told us to give our old cat Theo when he developed a block. Now there’s a little dish of olive oil beside his food bowls and he tends to have some here and there and has been fine for a year. 🙂

      • How very cool that your cat will sip on the oil, yes I already tried that, caster oil is not uncommon in lambs drinks so i will get some today.. this is the first time I have had a lamb with this problem .. hopefully his new milk will help, though we have to change him over very slowly so we don’t get the opposite problem. c

        • My cat gets pumpkin that I have roasted, then put through my blender. you can give them canned pumpkin just not the pie mix. The oil in the pumpkin helps everything slide on down and she loves the taste. First thing she eats every morning! Can you believe it C…I found something she likes. 

  2. Hope you feel like sunshine very soon. We were up very early to watch the Canadian Men’s Olympic hockey team, very exciting game we’re leading 2-0! #GOCANADAGO

  3. Aah, yes, the effects of the morning after the night before… We all need to let our hair down every now and again, especially you after working so hard every single day.
Please give Marcel a little kiss on his forehead for me.
    Enjoy your quiet slow day.

  4. One thing FD and I indulge in, when on a trip up north to Nebraska, is to entertain the little town “bar and grill” setting, where you can stop for refreshment and a burger. These “pubs” are in every small town, and often the gathering spot for rural folks. FD and I enjoy this as we don’t have them here in the South and there are so many varied liquor and drinking laws for each county or city – completely confusing.

Glad Marcel is picking up weight. Hopefully, today will be quiet and pleasant for you.

  5. Brain hurts… love it Cecilia does let her hair down every now and then,,, , good to know she’s human… after all your hard work, I’m surprised you don’t do it more often…

  6. I can’t think of anyone who deserves to take a night and a day (or several days) off more than you, Celi, especially after the week you’ve had. I always say that I need a “protein sandwich” to help rid a hangover. A burger used to be my go-to, but now I find that eggs with cheese and even peanut butter on toast (just roasted peanuts, ground) works well, chased with a bit of fiery ginger ale if you can get it or make it.
